Topine to doggies not part of the agreement.
We play the Dogs in round 16, maybe just before Guler is set to return. Hopefully Bateman is well and truly back by then.

But one thing I've learnt is that when an average player leaves a club, it isn't usually met with an emotional reaction, more shrugs and lukewarm well wishes.

So judging by the fury and salt flying around at the Kennel, is it fair to say we have ourselves a player here?
Partly..... also seems that they feel hard done by as they feel they're being punished for doing the right thing and a setting standard by sacking him, yet have the vultures waiting to take him shortly after for their own benefit with no NRL support backing them up apparently.

Sound familiar?

Enjoy lads. Given the lack of talent off contract to replace JB for next year, it’s a good result for the club.
Some good viewing for those here who hadn't heard of CHN before.
Runs great lines, loves a line break and a meat pie. Gun.
Ata Mariota’s #1 fan. Bless his cotton socks.

You like having cracks at other posters for their contribution. It's time for you to put your money where your mouth is.

Are we signing CHN?
Funny how you say this whilst having a crack at me, when you have no clue if he's coming or not. Put your money when your mouth is, champ
So, you're basically telling me you've got nothing?
That's not true at all. I have it on very good authority that he has been released by the dogs and could be joining us before the end of the week.

I am super stoked about this. He could be a real weapon in attack running off Williams. He seems to be a great line runner. Moving JB back to lock and I think our attack that has looked inept at times has a lot more strike to it.

Just really need for everyone to stay healthy and plug our right centre issue. If we can I believe we have the right mix to give it a shake this year again.

Awesome. This time last week my bottom lip was dragging around at the thought of another loss to the Roosters and a tough backend to the year. I love rugba leeg.

The timing couldn't be better with Bateman just days away from playing.

So looking forward do we think
8. Papa
9. Havili
10. Lui
11. CHN
12. Whitehead
13. Bateman

With Tapine to the bench to play middle rotation.

CHN will need plenty of time to get back into the swing of it.

Very different situation this time. Dogs threw him under the bus and the NRL backed them by deregistering him. Upon appeal it was found out he shouldn't have been sacked and his contract was reinstated. Player then told the club to get **** and he didn't want to play for them any more.

Can't actually recall a similar thing happening before.

From The Kennel

'I hate Canberra now... Sooky **** who think they are elite after 2 decent seasons, oh we stole the Viking clap we have 'cULtUrE'. We sign Cotric, they say "why the **** would you wanna go there" but then they are happy to take our players. Couple that with Ricky trying so hard to be a victim... Seriously **** them I hope they go out of the finals in straight sets.'

They seem a bit mad - what's da matta?

“I hope they go out of the finals in straight sets” my favourite line. He clearly sees it as a genuine guarantee that we make the finals and he dares to compare the two clubs

The only thing I take from this rant is the word 'finals', we will be there again, they won't. The only thing worse than dogs fans are Bronc and Qlders.

Massive signing to replace Bateman. To get him him half a year early with our forward stocks running low a huge bonus. Great work by the club and all involved. Our right hand attack instantly becomes a bigger threat in attack with JB or CHN outside GW.

Given how often we've given up quality players, I can sympathise with the anger over there. It's nice that things are going our way for once, but that can change and I won't be enjoying the salt too much.
