It sounds like all his issues with how the situation was handled are aimed directly at club management, not the coaching staff. A change in coaching staff in no way effects the issues he has with management.

Close enough for CHN to forgive the Dogs management? If that's the case I would have thought he'd know Barrett's signing was in the wind prior to demanding a release.

I dont see it. His problem isnt with Pay, or the coaching staff.
His problem is he feels the club, and it's directors and decision makers at that level let him down... it's an issue with "ownership" for lack of a better word than it coahcing.

Maybe Barrett can talk him into sticking around but those ill feelings with guys running the club wont be going anywhere

If my company sacked me but were forced to reinstate me on appeal, I'm not sure I'd be that keen to stick around, irrespective of who my boss was.

Especially if I had an another offer from a far better and much more successful company... working for a boss that wasn't recently sacked for being **** at his job.

Anyway, the ball is in his court. It's certainly an odd position for CHN to be in after being sacked during the offseason. If he chooses to stay solely on the basis of being buddies with his new coach, then maybe he's not the type of player we need to replace Bateman.

I'd hardly say its dragging out. There has been talks for about a week and these things can take months to nut out. Especially when there's a basket case club on the other end of it that suddenly want to keep a player that they sacked.
