Canberra Raiders co-captain Jarrod Croker sets sights on scaling Kosciuszko - and the NRL
It's not just the NRL premiership Jarrod Croker's looking to scale, but the Canberra Raiders co-captain has Kosciuszko in his sights as well. Not to mention having his first race horse running at group level. To quote the point-scoring Green Machine, he's "bloody excited".
"Intuition has only had the one start for us. Kurt bought him off Godolphin and has set him for The Kosciuszko," Croker said.

Very happy with the team list, good to have Rapana over scott on bench, cannot afford to shift a foward in centre if one goes down, well done and good luck to Kai, looks like a unit, but considering our injuries the team looks well balanced, wish it was a easier team to play but thats the draw, Vunivalu out is honestly 2 less trys against us for melbs, and a massive loss for melb, if Munster doesnt end up playing will even up the match abit, still a very hard match, Raiders by 4

We will be ok..Just need to attack the edge of Seve and Olam. Huge liabilty in defense
Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I think they match up with our right side attack. Not our best side but you're right, both are good tacklers in contact but can rush in on the wrong target. CNK's footwork could be handy or Oldy has them for pace.Raiders666 wrote: ↑July 7, 2020, 6:45 pm We will be ok..Just need to attack the edge of Seve and Olam. Huge liabilty in defense
I think Croker chasing grubbers on Vunivalu's side is also a good bet. Vunivalu is good and actually pretty agile for a big fella but can get the odd case of dropsy down low and is a good case for giving away dumb holding back/blocking penalties imo.

Can whoever was in charge of that “who the f*** is this ***” segment bring it back for this week in light of the inclusion of Darby Medlyn.

Ah ok. Have they switched Olam's side since last I noticed. I swear Vunivalu used to be right and Olam left centre for them.zim wrote: ↑July 7, 2020, 7:15 pmVunivalu is out. Seve / Olam one side. Not sure on the switching. Just reading the team sheet.

Who the **** is this ****?!?
Back by popular demand (that's right, one single request is enough), and thanks for joining us here on WTFITC Channel.
This week, we're doing something a little different. As the game evolves the segments must evolve with it, just to keep things fresh and interesting, so we're introducing a fun fact...
Fun Fact - Darryn Schonig is a proud WTFITC Alum from 2020 Rd 3.
But without further ado, this we week we have to ask one question...
Darby Medlyn... Who the **** is this ****?!
Thanks all, y'all been great. Try the veal!

Have to wait and see how they run out and where they line up, but if Oldy lines up at centre again, it could be another very rough night at the office for him, especially if Munster plays.
Get him back to the wing and get Nick to sort this centre problem out.
If we're going to win, it's got to be a Hodgson game. He's got to lift substancially and then wighton and george can play off that.

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I think if we win it will require a heroic effort from Papa, Sutton and Tapine.
That Melbourne middle is quality.
If they produce the superhuman, we are in with a shout. Otherwise, fuggedaboudid.

For those who haven't followed our lower grades, Darby Medlyn is an extremely good young lock. Works and works and works, one of the leading lights of our Grand Final Jersey Flegg team from 2019. He was deservedly promoted to the top squad this year. Very good all round player. Given a chance, he'll step up.Botman wrote: ↑July 7, 2020, 7:45 pm Who the **** is this ****?!?

Why? We weren't even very good at all. If we play like that against the storm again they will 100% make us pay.

Darby is a very good young player. He played NSW under 20s last year and had a great game. Matt Burton from Penrith was clearly best on ground but Meds really set a platform. He did play a couple of games for Mounties in 2019.greeneyed wrote: ↑July 7, 2020, 8:08 pmFor those who haven't followed our lower grades, Darby Medlyn is an extremely good young lock. Like O’Donnell could have done with this season in the lower grades but if he gets his chance he won’t let anyone down. Defensive machine. Think of a young Shaun Fensom.
Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Last week I bought two tickets off my one member number. Possibly that's because my wife's member number is in my name - I dunno, it was some offering from the club and I was happy to forward club emails to her - but it does mean that effectively my member number has two ticketed seats. I haven't seen her member card so I don't know if it's a different member number but still in my name - I'd think that's probably what's happened. Maybe I am beside myself. In any case, I could buy two tickets, and only entered one member code.Green_Hammock wrote: ↑July 7, 2020, 8:13 pmThanks TW-TW- wrote:Yes, however you can buy more than one in a transaction with multiple codes at the password screen.Green_Hammock wrote:Can you only buy one ticket per member number?

Good call to drop Scott. The bloke was highly likely to completely lose his **** out there.
Hopefully Cotric lines up at centre with Rapa on the wing. Oldy to the bench.

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I like the side (apart from Oldy in the centres). Probably as good a team as we can name with the blokes we have out. Expect big mins for Papa.
Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
Interesting stat: Based on for and against we currently sit 10th in attack and 6th in defence.
Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
That is interesting, as we had the opposite problem in 2017/2018, which this season is being compared to. We were killing it in attack (first for most of the year I think, or at least top 3) but 10th(ish) for defence in those years.
Ata Mariota’s #1 fan. Bless his cotton socks.
Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I like simonsson/rapana in the side more then oldy...
