If needed, Rapana can go in to lock, Havilii as prop#1, Tapine over to prop #2. Depends how much trust RIcky has in O'Donnell. If Ricky trusts him, then O'Donnel can do it. I think Sutton can play 60 mins or would probably love the chance to do 70-80 himself.
The right edge deserves another crack imo and Oldy will be better for the run. I still liked what he brought for 60 mins. Straight hard running, just what we need. Simo, Cotric and Scott are all crab/stop-prop-palm style runners.

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews
key players still down in confidence, I think travelling has shook up some players, being at home again, Raiders will be more relaxed and energised imo, Melb gonna be hard but we can win this.
Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews
Yeah, as crap as his last couple of games have been, i think our best team come finals time has him at centre. Id rather cop the short term pain now

I think there’s a case for bringing Scott back into the starting lineup, he may just hit his straps against his old team after being dropped to the bench. Then again it could have the opposite effect. Really hard to say.
In saying that, if Scott comes in it probably pushes Simo to the bench and I think he deserves his spot on last weeks performance. Gotta reward the form from the young fella trying to cement his spot.

Seriously, you can't include L Bateman and not have him play hooker. Swap him and Havili.

Hudson Young backed to make John Bateman-like impact for Canberra Raiders
England international George Williams hopes Hudson Young can take the NRL by storm, just like John Bateman did for the Canberra Raiders in 2019.
"It's sad 'Batty's' going, but we've got some good players here. Hopefully a young player can step up - maybe Hudson Young, he's fantastic," Williams said. "He's only young, but he's a great player and maybe he can step up next year and produce what Batty did last year."

No end to Canberra Raiders' travel toll in sight
The NRL has ruled out easing travel restrictions for the Canberra Raiders. Ricky Stuart was hopeful his team would be allowed to stay in Sydney the night before their clash with the Sydney Roosters.
"The are no plans to change travel guidelines. Our protocols are based on the advice of bio-security experts and we will continue to follow that advice," an NRL spokesman said.

Canberra Stadium fan increase in hands of ACT Chief Health Officer
ACT Chief Health Officer Kerryn Coleman could make a decision as early as Monday about whether crowd capacity will be increased from 1500 for the Raiders' clash with the Storm. It's believed Coleman was happy with the way things went at the game at Canberra Stadium on Friday night. The crowd could possibly increase to 3800.

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews
Seems sensible. The crowd could easily be double what it was on Friday night and pose very little risk. I also don’t understand why the western side needs to be kept clear, other grounds are not doing that. How is the risk any more on less on the Eastern side?greeneyed wrote: ↑July 5, 2020, 6:48 pm Canberra Stadium fan increase in hands of ACT Chief Health Officer

TIMES UP
Wighton is not a 6.. not a natural ball player or kicker move him to backrow for young. Hodgson 6 havili 9. Cotric 4. If you can't see by now that Jack isn't a 6 than I'd question your footy iq

Re: 2020 Rd 9 V Storm: Teams and Previews
Probably because Canberra Stadium is not built in the same way as other grounds. The players entries and spaces are intermingled with the crowds and the Mal Meninga Stadium. Even at antiquated grounds like Brookvale, the players can easily be kept separate. The ACT government will work it out, in sensible fashion and time, and ensure public health and safety. They have medical experts and bio-security experts who know what they're doing. They are doing a good job and glad to see that they're not risking the sort of thing that has happened and is happening in Victoria.Bay53 wrote: ↑July 5, 2020, 8:28 pmSeems sensible.
