Is Stuart the right person to take us forward?
Ricky has run his race. It's really time to go. We want success and deserve it - he has a good roster. Hard questions must be asked as it's 2017/2018 again. Ricky doesn't have a clue. He needs to bear responsibility for recruiting failures like Scott - no pace and makes mistakes. We cannot beat Parra with Moses and Manly had so many out yet we still couldn't win. It's terrible and he has no idea - it will be the same side and comments. Time for a new voice.

Even though we came runners up last year, I still remain that Stuart can not take us to a premiership

Explain how Ricky is at fault if his team can't capitalise with so many outs. What does he tell them to do different. We literally look crap in attack.

I didn't think I would be seeing these sort of posts 1/3 of the way through the season after a close GF loss

Answer is yes by the way.

You’re all drinking the kool-aid.
Either you think the players are not following instructions in this last month of atrocious football, or you think that they are... either way it’s on the Super Coach

Re: Is Stuart the right person to take us forward
Wait till next week when we win and everyone will be happy with Ricky again. And then the following week when we lose and people will question whether he is the right man for the job. And the week after that when we win and those concerns will have been well and truly put to bed. Then the following week when we lose heavily and people will demand he resign and the CEO step down. Then we go on a three week win streak and his contract is extended again. Then we go on a losing run and people will bemoan that he is tied to a long term contract.
To answer the question, is Ricky the right man for the job, well it depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Re: Is Stuart the right person to take us forward?
It's nice to have an alternative to the yearly Sack Croker thread. Boogs incoming.
Re: Is Stuart the right person to take us forward?
Way too early for this coming off a year that he took us to the GF
I think most sports clubs will be inclined to resist doing anything drastic to coaches they like and are invested in this season. If results are not what was expected they can, at least for 2020, reasonably say the circumstances and disruption make it tough to really hold anyone’s feet to the fire
The only coaches that will get sacked this year are guys who probably should have been sacked 12 months ago... like Kearney and Mary etc
And just so I’m clear, I don’t know if Stuart is going to be able to help us win another title, but there is no question he’s earned a longer leash than this

I agree with you Botman in that Ricky deserves a longer leash. As before I don’t think he can take us to another premiership mainly because his struggles to make the tough decision fast enough. His approach of close relationships with the players effects his ability to do this.
Re: Is Stuart the right person to take us forward?
The loss wasn’t on coaching... manly loss maybe put down to coaching refs luck Hodgson... but last night we just weren’t good enough..
Tbh parra look better without Moses except for Takarangis kicking game.

What we need is changes all over the park and a new coach by next week because we lost to the second best team by 1point.

Guys, we were runners up last year, we won the first 3 games of the season this year and now since the return we are putting out this **** week on week. How anyone can say that there should not be an expectation for us to beat the Eels without there number 1 play maker for 40 mins and also that dismal performance against Manly when they lost there 2 best players after 20 minutes is just ridicules!

Have to say, I thought Eels played better without Moses.

I suppose the Dragons under performance with their roster isn’t Paul McGregors issue either?-TW- wrote:It's really notLastRaider wrote:Guys, we were runners up last year, we won the first 3 games of the season this year and now since the return we are putting out this **** week on week. That's such a stretch of a comparison it's not even worth giving a detailed response to

Not sure what is more depressing. Our team losing or this forum after a loss? At least the **** Broncos are crappier than us.

Just wait for the proverbial to hit the fan when they beat us later in the year...

If Ricky keeps Scott in the team all season and we lose Cotric to the Bulldogs purely because he is guaranteed a centre position, then I’m convinced his time is up

9 I think:
Roosters x2, Manly x 2, Rabbits, Storm, Eels, Cowboys, Warriors
We obviously can't lose that many this year. Probably a maximum of three-four more if we want a top 4 finish. However in saying that I see a lot of top 6 teams taking points off eachother this year.

Re: Is Stuart the right person to take us forward?
I know this may seem as a bit off, but ..
Hear me out..
No Mick Ennis and his mongrel win at all costs attitude ? Issue or not ?
Bit of pressure off Ricky when Ennis is available to talk to the squad at training...
And maybe that's all it takes to fix some things.
Also... drop Curtis this week thanks

Mick Ennis not working with Hodgo would be part of it

Edit- by my calculation we could lose probably only 2-3 more for a top four finish.Raider47 wrote: ↑June 28, 2020, 6:36 pm9 I think:

With Storm, Panthers and Roosters x2 it'll be a tough ask.
