How quickly he has slotted in and found this feet. If our boys stay fit, we are going to be so difficult to beat. Didn’t even have John Bateman tonight

Well that was fun. George and Tapine both amazing. And Tapine still proving that even on great nights he is a lock to do something stupid (shoulder charge)
Re: 2020 Rd 3 V Storm: Game Day
I reckon tonight lowered Bateman's value by 50-100kyeh raiders wrote: ↑May 30, 2020, 9:32 pmHow quickly he has slotted in and found this feet. If our boys stay fit, we are going to be so difficult to beat. Didn’t even have John Bateman tonight

Papalii has given his boots to a cardboard cutout of a small child in the stadium

I dont think you could ask for a better start from him. His game tonight was up there with some of Wightons best from last year and 2019 wighton was **** hugeyeh raiders wrote: ↑May 30, 2020, 9:32 pmHow quickly he has slotted in and found this feet. Agree. We gave them too many chances in the second half!gangrenous wrote: ↑May 30, 2020, 9:22 pm This second half has not been clever from the Raiders. Fantastic game, but need to not do it the hard way.
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

I’ve got to say if Broncos keep getting flogged each week channel nine will hang onto this loyal viewer with his popcorn

That was spectacular.
Gutsy D all second half.
Gotta say though we invited them back in a lot.

Why give Paps the final conversion? Points may matter in the final analysis for positions on the ladder.

With you on that one.gangrenous wrote:I’ve got to say if Broncos keep getting flogged each week channel nine will hang onto this loyal viewer with his popcorn
I found it curious that the commentator repeatedly said that this was the game of the round. I wonder if the game selection has changed with Fox getting first choice instead of Nein?

Crocker's first two conversions were key.
Maintained the scoreboard pressure.

Yeah agree. Papa is undoubtedly a club legend but there's no room for that business.Green Taipan wrote: ↑May 30, 2020, 9:47 pm Why give Paps the final conversion? Points may matter in the final analysis for positions on the ladder.
Hope Sticky has a quiet word to the two captains.

I think it was just calling it as it was and a bit of a dig at Channel 9.gergreg wrote:With you on that one.gangrenous wrote:I’ve got to say if Broncos keep getting flogged each week channel nine will hang onto this loyal viewer with his popcorn

No way Channel 9 isn’t having first choice and getting what they want.

I dont think this team is worried about F/A.afgtnk wrote: ↑May 30, 2020, 9:52 pmYeah agree. Nor should they be. They've got a great culture, this sort of thing is part of it and helps maintain it, and 2 points in the F/A isnt more important than continuing that culture.

Good analysis on Fox about CNK playing the more traditional fullback role backing up the centre is a great tactic for the style of game this weekend.

Re: 2020 Rd 3 V Storm: Game Day
I cannot think of a worse centre pairing in the existence of the Melbourne Storm, than Olam and Seve.
I guess it’s a perfect example of the game valuing the centre position as the bottom of all positions in the starting 13.
Croker, on the hand, was everywhere tonight. Strong performance. And suck it Melbourne, we now have your centre who would’ve been a clear upgrade on both the blokes you’ve got !

Sport isnt remotely important in the grand scheme of things in this COVID situation but tonight was a good reminder of just how great it is... there really isnt anything quite like being all in and riding the highs and lows of your footy team. Ive missed it so much and im glad its back.
