I don't care how much of a burden the Warriors have taken on, they shouldn't be gifted stuff they don't deserve. The 10-4 penalty count was bad enough but they did not deserve to score today and we should have put them away.

MATCH REPORT: Canberra Raiders handle heat to beat travelling New Zealand Warriors

The Raiders have started the season with back-to-back wins after beating the Warriors 20-6 at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday.

The Warriors may have drawn plaudits from all around the game for relocating to Australia during the coronavirus crisis to allow the competition to continue, but they were outclassed by last year's grand finalists.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I don’t know whether Raiders aren’t switched on yet or if they’re playing the season long game. 2 W’s and minimal players in the sideline yet at this point though

Even though we are playing cannon fodder, 2 points a win. Good for morale and match fitness.

Match played in very hot conditions and so not a great advertisement for Rugby League. But we got the 2 competition points on offer, so mission accomplished. We have the next two weeks at home against first the Dragons and then the Sea Eagles. Williams and Scott both played well. Williams giving away a penalty try his only blemish but it would definitely have been a try to the Warriors in any case so no harm done.

Now they have shaken off the pre-season cobwebs I'm hoping for some more flow in attack next week. The defense will face bigger tests than the Titans and Warriors could produce in coming weeks. To be four competition points from a possible four is where we want to be.
