Tapine not eligible?
CNK as well but I'm not 100% on his heritage.

Very surprised Tapine wasn't selected... he is eligible, he played for New Zealand Maori in 2019.

As usual, congrats boys - don't get injured.
Surprised that Tarps wasn't named but happy because he's more likely than most to get hurt.

The less players we have selected the better in my opinion. The Jarrod Croker knee injury still leaves a sour taste in my mouth in regards to these games.
I believe every club has to send one player for each team though (if eligible ofc)

I think Tapine and CNK were both selected, but withdrew.

I imagine the coach isn’t willing to risk any more than the minimum number of players - and given other clubs are no doubt doing that - it is fair enough.
Re: Wighton and Simonsson selected for All Stars
How long until half the players pull out with a mystery one week injury?

All Star year for Canberra Raiders' Bailey Simonsson
A year ago, Bailey Simonsson was watching the All Stars game just hoping to make his NRL debut. Now he's hoping to force his way into the Maori All Stars starting side on February 22.
“I'm not sure how many minutes I'll play or if I'll play at all - but to be a part of the squad's very humbling and something I'm really looking forward to being a part of ... It's been a big 12 months.”

They all know some random neighbour who's third cousin's husband traveled to China and may be carrying the virus?
