Missing from last year:

Ata Hingano
Brad Abbey
Brendan O'Hagan
Jordan Rapana
Sam Williams (once Sezer is off I assume he signs)
Kyle Paterson
Reuben Porter (odd, thought he was on a two year deal)
Royce Hunt

Our list had Porter on a presumed one year deal, ending 2019... no specific end date for him had been announced. We only had these players leaving to date.

Brad Abbey - released
Ata Hingano - released
Royce Hunt - released
Jordan Rapana - Japanese union

We had been hearing Patterson was heading to the Sharks. Looks like O'Hagan has no deal with the Raiders for next year on this basis. Showed some promise at times, but I'm not entirely surprised.

We had Tom Starling and Harley Smith-Shields on development contracts on our list... and this list has them in the top 30. Been no specific announcement I can remember on them.

No Timoko? Hopefully he is still with the club.

I thought Luke Bateman was going as well.

I did too, but our list has him contracted to end 2020.

Luke bateman resigned for a year a few weeks ago. Of particular note was that Jack Hetherington is not listed here... i appreciate that nothing official has been announced, but the last id heard was that we got him. Have i missed anything?

He is listed as on contract for the Panthers until 2021 in their update today. So perhaps RCG going changed things.

The club announced a 1 year extension for Bateman in September.

Obviously there will be a bit of movement in this list before the season starts.

Missed the mark with half of the development players. Timoko is a no brainer but he must be the highest paid 20’s player in the comp and get a rookie next year surely being a year young. Medlyn well deserved. Dont rate Odonell and plenty in our 20’s better than him last year. Subloo as a rookie............do we have the same kid that couldnt make the side through the semis?? Is he related to someone???

Plenty of decent squad fillers floating around, unsigned from other clubs. Hopefully we pick up some decent reserve graders. Mounties look thin losing all those players.

Ronnie - Matt Timoko is born 18 January 2000 so can play 20s again next year.

Subloo didn’t play finals because he was injured. Would have easily played under 20s finals if he was fit. I think he has a bit more potential upside than Westcott. If Westcott doesn’t get a shot at NRL/NSW Cup he will be a superstar in local footy somewhere for the next 10 years but I am not sure he could progress to the top level.

Subloo could be a bust but he just has something about him that can be harnessed. His upside is bigger.

He was injured in the last round. Was good for final and grand final. I heard from a guy at Belco Sharks Westcott was heading there but has since signed with the tri colours and has gone to Sydney under Jason Taylor at Norths. He was smaller than Subloo and different style of player. I hope your right but my observations from last year indicates Subloo isnt mentally tough enough. Timoko will be devastating in 20’s this year as will Joe Roberts who in my opinion was way better than Subloo and probably a long term investment. Be interesting what they do with new Queensland lads as well. Patterson for me was the loss of the year. I am looking forward to tracking the flegg and local footy again this year. Some good signings and hopefully they can go as far as this years side.

He looked good last year. Still another year to go in 20s. Given his form he may try and train and trial into the 30 rather than just accepting a development deal.

Harley Smith-Shields was the No. 1 priority obviously and keeping Kris for another year was sensible.

Have to say I'm not entirely sure about Subloo... but it is only a development contract, guess we will have to wait and see. Not entirely sure about Starling either...

Can't disagree with the rest of the decisions...

Patterson was pretty unlikely to stay with his road blocked here, but he is the biggest loss. I don't know the ins and outs, but it wouldn't surprise me if this was out of the Raiders' hands. I like the look of Kai O'Donnell and Medlyn was a must keep as a development player. Timoko has great first grade potential, but that looks like a decision for next year.

He doesn't appear on their 1 November list. A Bears contract?

Patterson doesn't appear on the Sharks' 1 November list either interestingly.

Hinganno has been injured an awful lot. He was also used terribly before all that started.

However he does this year, at least the club can be seen as having done the right thing by him to some degree, rather than just chew him up and spit him out. Williams and Hingano as Mounties halves? Kids to step in if either is absent or not doing the job.

Agree. I feel he is as good a back up as Sam if fit. Had a bad year injury wise last year. He will keep the kids out if fit for a long time!

Interesting that Hingano has been retained. Massive bonus for our depth.

In saying that, the two games I saw him play were less than impressive. Although, to be fair, most of the Mounties players choked in both those games.

The only decent game I've seen hingano play was against us in a well beaten side a few years ago.

Was excited when he signed, but he's shown next to nothing

Nice he has a lifeline... he seems like a great young guy... but I can’t see Hingano ever stepping up to firsts. And he’s had lots of opportunity already. To be honest, I think the development contract spots should be used for players just graduating from Under 20s who can’t yet crack a top 30 spot.
