Team List Tuesday!

Post by KasparRaider »

I miss Team List Tuesday and Matt’s Skins. It’s going to be a long off season! Here’s hoping to no serious Test game injuries or silly endeavours and rationale heads with the contract deals.

2019 v 2016 skins (judged on the way they played in those respective years)

CNK 1. Wighton
Cotric 2. Lee
Croker 3. Croker
Leilua 4. Leilua
Rapana 5. Rapana
Wighton 6. Austin
Sezer 7. Sezer
Papalii 8. Paulo
Hodgson 9. Hodgson
Soliola 10. Boyd
J Bateman 11. Papalii
Whitehead 12. Whitehead
Tapine 13. Soliola

Interchange
Simonsson 14. Baptiste
Guler 15. L Bateman
Horsburgh 16. Vaughan
Lui 17. Tapine

So yeah, I think in 2016 we were vastly better individually, but not as good as a team. The difference came down to learning how to defend ferociously, as a unit

I’m the opposite. CNK had a clearly stronger year imo. Largely based on defensive positioning.

Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

OOPH!
Id move Scott to the bench, as a backrower, and Walker to start at centre, that way the Wolfman is your utility. Id also have Cody Walker over Pearce, who at least has a winning series behind him. Side still stinks though.

Walker and Wolfman are out of position.
Pretty sure Scott played more backrow than centre too.

Honestly you'd look at that roster at an NRL club and think- yeah, a few names but I think we have them covered, outside backs are all plodders and no real threat or heart in the pack.

I think Pearce might save them there at NRL level. Swap him out for Trent Hodkinson.

Jamal Idris, Anthony Laffranchi, and Josh Reynolds unlucky to not get a run.

As much as we don't like it, Campese and Joel Monners usually get a run in those teams when they're named by opposition fans.

You reckon Gallen had himself as captain in his supercoach team?

Campese was unlucky not to play more origin games. Would have been in the mix in 2011 if his knees didn't explode
