Sometimes there's a bit of timing involved with this. If these guys are coming through in the Cornish starting half / McCrone at hooker era we probably do a bit more to retain them. Instead we've now got a very talented and established spine. Especially at hooker where our backup should be trying to push for a starting gig at another club and the 2nd backup is one of the better reserve grade hookers.

I wish we had been able to keep them here on min wage. With them going I really hope we're able to hold on to some of the other prospects like Tom Robertson. He really fits the mold of the modern prop.

Pre-season and the trials shall be interesting to see who is the 1,6,7 and 9.

Cowboys scouts must still be stuck in NZ or asleep as they've lost quite a few recently from their catchment zone.

I liked Patterson, he looked the goods. However, Hodgo isnt going anywhere anytime soon, and he is probably a yr or 2 too far along in his career to look at being the successor.

Our halves selections for development players hasnt worked out so far, but Westcott looked ok too. Pity he seems to be going too.

100% agree. We where within 2 points literally from winning the 20’s comp this year and we didnt sign our spine for at least another season of nsw cup. Insane!!! Patterson rumoured to be going also.

If you where a decent player manager of a spine player you would not have them sign a 2 or 3 year deal starting in the 20’s with the Raiders as you will end up playing with Woden etc in year 2 and 3 in particular if its anything like this year and the lack of mounties game time for the 20’s players. I think recruitment guys get a bit excited at the ASSRL carnival and end up with back ended rookie deals for an SG ball player who turns out to be a flop when he plays the big boys.

Who are our the rookies for next year? I would assume Medlyn, Patterson but read he is off to Cronulla? , Velimi but he’s gone to Melbourne, Timoko and Smith Sheilds is that correct? There must be others.

Where is Westcott off to?

Dont we get 6? I would assume Medlyn. Savage would more then likely be the following year on rookie.

Don't we have a fullback in Manase Kaho in 20s at the moment?

"They are both fine prospects and we have had our eyes on them for some time," Mulholland said.

What's doing with the Broncos these days? They are really dropping the ball on their juniors.

Fair enough. History shows the Broncos grab whoever they want, whenever they want. Would be interesting to know how much the Cows invested in these kids.

Obviously not. He was very close though. Next time you interview the head recruiter ask him..... Regardless a good signing.
