I doubt it. He comes across as hugely arrogant. He probably thinks Papalii should have been binned for running into Cronk without the ball.

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day
It would be good if we had a more favourable draw in 2020 - we had to pay Melbourne, Roosters, Manly, Parra, and Cronulla twice this year and none during SOO period.
I don't know how they do the draw.
Ricky - more of the same in the off season - let's set our goal to be the best defensive side in 2020, not the third best.

hopefully the change of halves combination next year doesn't disrupt the momentum of this team as we are on an upward trajectory big time. I don't think we will regress like we did after 2016

Hopeful George Williams is the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle, along with a squad full of players who have had GF experience.

I’m gutted, we gave it a good shake but didn’t quite have enough.
Can’t believe the six again call, but we gave up the try in the end.
Onwards and upwards for next season.

Didn’t see the game. Who didn’t play well?
Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day
Everyone is angered by the 6 to go and rightly so but let's not forget the other calls in the last 20m or so.
1- Raiders try called for a forward pass. Looked 50/50 to me.
2- Soft high tackle penalty where Latrell missed the penalty.
Refs were never going to let us win.
Rigged.
Heartbroken.

I hope Ricky gives a graceful subdued press conference. Everyone saw what happened - why give them what they want. I almost want think a gracious acknowledgment of the refs would be the right sort of semi passive aggressive acknowledgment that the NRL referees are a basket case and tonight was nothing unexpected.

He was good but I'm not sure that's the adjectives I would use. He hasn't been quite as damaging this year, probably to do with the injuries he sustained.Roger Kenworthy wrote: ↑October 6, 2019, 9:35 pmRapana was brilliant today.yeh raiders wrote: ↑October 6, 2019, 9:31 pm I know we’ll be better placed next year, so I really hope we don’t muck around with the squad too much in the offseason.

Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day
We needed to take the refs out of the game. Why we didn't slot over a field goal with 20 minutes, 18 minutes, 16 minutes to go is the difference. We were in the perfect position to set it up. We put that over we win the game IMO.

I think he's lost a yard. But his work getting us off our own line with CNK was the platform for us to dominate territory.Azza wrote: ↑October 6, 2019, 9:40 pmHe was good but I'm not sure that's the adjectives I would use. Absolutely heartbroken
I think its safe to say the better team lost.... i thought the cap rorter chickens were pretty ordinary tonight.... hence why wighton got the clive churchill (also thought it was bad form by the roosters fans to chant BS during his speech)
the Klock was amazing tonight, i was disappointed with the first try they scored.... very soft effort by our standards... no denying their 2nd was a ripper and a great try.
they say you have to lose one before you win one so hopefully this makes us hungrier next year and we can get the job done.
Bring on 2020 ( minus Dunamis Lui- God hes terrible! A liability that offers very little!

Well I think it's a shame we are losing him and I hope we have the depth in the outside backs to still be strong there next year.

We outplayed them aside from the opening.
I got to say, Raiders supporters are so classy. We take it for granted.
I couldn’t count the number of Roosters supporters fleeing the game at the siren, when their team just won a GF.
Meant nothing to them.

To be fair, Croker is lowest rated IMO of all 4, but he’s not in calculations for being moved on. Rapana and Joey are, and Joey is worth more to us than Raps. Joey’s 1 big error aside, he was the 2nd best Raider out there.
Re: 2019 Grand Final V Roosters: Game Day
Pretty quiet in here for a grand final game day thread.... i guess cause all the fans are at the game. Very proud of the guys effort tonight... we were expected to get smashed, and we went all year without losing 13+
A great season. Now onto bigger and better things!

I actually think we looked our best with Oldfield at right centre this year. BJ is better for those end of season physical matches, I will say that.yeh raiders wrote: ↑October 6, 2019, 9:53 pmHe was but it looks like we’ll have to offload an outside back.Roger Kenworthy wrote: ↑October 6, 2019, 9:35 pmRapana was brilliant today.yeh raiders wrote: ↑October 6, 2019, 9:31 pm I know we’ll be better placed next year, so I really hope we don’t muck around with the squad too much in the offseason.

This one really is a heartbreaker. I don't know how I'll feel in March next year. I have genuine feelings there is much more corruption in the sporting world than we realise.
