Raiders Supporters Bay - Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
Raiders supporters Bay, Friday night.
I have coordinated with all my people to buy tickets in the Raiders supporters bays.
That allocation is the place to buy tickets if you are keen to sing and cheer the house down to get the boys over the line.
I sent messages to the Canberra Times fb page asking whether they will be an outlet to raise awareness for gathering the most passionate and loudest raiders fans into the same spot in the stadium, and creating a proper active support section.
I’m thinking proper songs, chants and passion. Flags, confetti, streamers, bring it all.
As a football fan as well as rugby league fan, this is what I live for.
Let’s make it happen. Share your ideas here for songs and chants we can get rolling on Friday to create an atmosphere to be proud of.
Who is interested?

Keen as ever. Planning to purchase in Raiders Supporters Bay and see if that can be an avenue to drum up some noise and colour.

Let's do this ****. Driving down from Melbourne on the day for this one.
What can we realistically do with 1 week to go however? in terms of the chanting/songs front....
Bringing a **** of screaming and green paraphernalia should go a long way to helping the cause.

Re: Creating the best Atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
Will try and get tkt's in the supporters bay. And like the Manly game, we need to be cheering the WHOLE GAME unlike their fans once they got in front.
I've got some UK style chants ready to go for 3 of the UK lads.
Josh Hodgson - Oi, Oi, OI style
"Hodgy, Hodgy, Hodgy, Oi, Oi, Oi"
Elliott Whitehead - 7 Nation Army riff
"Ohhhhhhhhhh Ellllll - iotttt Whiiiiiiite - Heeaaaad!"
John Bateman - Youtube Tommy Robinson chant
"Oh! Johnny, Johnny!!!! Johnny! Johnny! Johnny! Johnny! Baaaateman!!!"
Banners are a must:
"Hodgo you little STRIPPA!"
"Our Hooker also Strips!!!"
"CNK is A-OK!"
"In Charnze we Trust!"
"Papalii = Samoan Bulldozer!"
Would love to see one poking fun at Sia the Singer with our Sia
Vuvuzela's would be good ONLY if they weren't being blown the whole game. Maybe as a sign were going to chant or drum???
Anyone know who's got or can contact for the old large flags that use to come to the game. We need them back
Just a few idea's

The seven nation army is a good one. Especially with players names. The Great Bambino wrote: ↑September 20, 2019, 3:32 pm Will try and get tkt's in the supporters bay. And like the Manly game, we need to be cheering the WHOLE GAME unlike their fans once they got in front.

I started it at the tigers game at bankwest and it got going for a bit.
I’ve also got a big flag I’ll be bringing.
One of my favourites is this one which my crew sings...insert Johnny Bateman/CNK etc

The whole stadium will be a Raiders supporters bay!
Re: Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
needs to be absolutely no possibility of bandwagon types starting a Mexican wave like in the 2016 Sharks home final.

Re: Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
Yeah but we haven’t had the consistent coordinated active support for years; not since the Raiders Army days.
The thought of 25k raiders fans singing ole ole ole ole gives me the tingles

The club should hand out free recorders to all of the children.
Nothing screams "atmosphere" more than a couple of thousand children playing off key recorder dysynchrounously

I think Highway to Hell in the pre game and people with cowbells on the fence are going to be key parts of any strategy to create atmosphere.

Re: Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
Gonna be a bucket load of Bunnies fans I imagine. Raiders fans will need to send them packing.
Re: Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
I miss the old days when the "green brigade" attended every game.... they had lots of banners, clever ones too.
No doubt the atmosphere will be electric but i would really like to see lots and lots of banners supporting the boys... i mean even the titans with their 5 fans have a large section of banners.

To the theme of paradise city:
“Take me back to the capitol city where the men are green and the girls are pretty! Oh won’t you please take me home, yeah yeah!”

Haha. Like paradice city..
Surely, for bateman the chant has to be "na na na na na na na na bateman".. think batman chant
Where are the dudes who used to lead the raiders army. Surely they can find their voices

One other thing.
If things go very well, and by chance, Croker reaches his milestone, I would like to see the whole stadium give him a standing O.

I reckon if the Raiders can win by 49 the atmosphere will be electric
Re: Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
If the Raiders won in the last 5 again the stadium may not survive

Where we would play until the new ground is built? Rivett Oval?gangrenous wrote:Win win! A grand final berth and a new stadium
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Ha. Or Belmore. But I like the idea of Rivett Oval, I've scored many a try on kick returns in after school footy. At least, in my memories. Emulating Badge!gangrenous wrote:Probably Kogarah. Seems to be how these things work

Re: Creating the best atmosphere ever seen at Canberra Stadium
Manuka Oval would be the only other field with sponsor and spectator facilities that are up to NRL standard. Terrible ground at which to watch rugby league, though.
