Because it's a regular season award. Otherwise Stick should've won it comfortably.

THe Storm won the minor premiership by 6 points didnt they?
Feels like its reasonable that their coach is given COTY when they were so clearly dominant in the regular season.

Im sure he'd trade it in to be in Stuart's place right now in a heartbeat.

No issues with the awards so far.
Bellyache and Smith were certainty’s IMO when you consider where they finished with the minor premiership.

Wondering if it was an oversight when they nominated Croker not realising Hodgo was co-captain. It was Croker himself that drew attention to it.

It's hard to a argue against it given their dominance of the regular season.

I’ll give it a go. He’s a brilliant coach who has been establishing his structures and systems for years and years at Melbourne, has the best player in the world, and can easily draw players based on the success of the club.

Ricky has built up a top 4 team at a club which has had very little success and struggled to attract quality players. He revamped the approach this year completely to great success.

Yes what Bellamy has achieved this year was brilliant, but same with Ricky.

Sticky did more this season.

Recruitment masterstrokes, peaking at the right time, no Sandor Earl, and no retardation of going 24 rounds with Brodie Croft and then ditching your halfback on the eve of the finals.

Sticky wins in my book.

Reflecting on that Storm game. It was the very next day after that, that we booked a hotel room in Sydney for Grand Final night...just in case.

Mentioning playing finals football speaking about Payne Haas as rookie of the year.

Does it count as playing finals if you lose 58-0?

Papa was the best prop this year by a comfortable margin. I guess thats the problem with the new system.
