They could all take it out, but I’d say Papa has the edge slightly over Bateman.

This is how the top four players finished in the Canberra Raiders Fans' Choice Player of the Year.

27 - Josh Papalii
26 - Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
22 - John Bateman
21 - Jack Wighton

In the Meninga Medal count... Josh Papalii leads Jack Wighton by one point after Round 23.

Could have very easily thrown Hudson Young in there also. Very good year for guys coming through.

Dunamis Lui is apparently a good trainer and clubman and seems popular amongst the playing group. Returned from his ACL a better player and it’s a well deserved award.

Very pleased with all these winners so far. And a big yes for Lui. He's been incredible.

Josh Papalii dedicates third Meninga Medal to teammates

Canberra prop Josh Papalii has cemented his legacy as one of the modern greats of the club after winning his third Meninga Medal in four years to help spearhead the Raiders' charge into the preliminary final.

"It's just a shame that one person gets recognised for a good season. I truly believe there are 30 blokes out there, we sacrifice a lot hours and days to this (club) and to try and capture a premiership.

Well deserved to Papa on taking out the big one. Champion.

Very happy for HorsPOWER as well. Combined the raw aggression with the ability to learn from his rookie mistakes. I can't wait to watch him again next week. He is a must in our 2019 forward rotation.
