You need to drink about 60% of what you can handle before the event and then another 20% during.
Afterwards, if we win, drink another 60%.

Not as many as I had in Melbourne in 2016 (probably around 26). Had to relive the loss and Edrick dropping the ball after a very foggy memory. Losing twice is no good.
This time around, might be better!

Whilst I am disappointed that I couldn't get seats and will spend a large chunk of my time chasing after my boys in the standing area. I can't wait for the game we will be heading down from Sydney as soon as my eldest finishes school.

Huge thank you to Cranky Old Man for helping us get tickets!! Also thank you to Pete555, Leebola and DJ Professor K who kindly offered to help as well. My wife is going to love hearing that after all these years of reading the Greenhouse it was through the GH that we got tickets to the biggest game in Canberra ever! Enjoy the game everyone, it'll be amazing - GO RAIDERS!!!

Re: Preliminary Final tickets
Yep, sister and I agreed no later than the 6:15 bus.
They're running a bus from Gungahlin at 7:15 (the last bus leaving for the game). No way is that one going to make kickoff unless they keep a dedicated bus lane.

Re: Preliminary Final tickets
Any tips on possible bus stops on the way in from Sydney. What are the buses like getting out of the stadium is it likely to be quicker to catch a bus out to my car? I need to get back on the road as quickly as possible to get the family home.
Re: Preliminary Final tickets
I always catch the bus, as soon as they get around 20k or more it's slow to get in or out even on the bus.-TW- wrote:Or catch the busgergreg wrote:Its going to be absolute gridlock getting in and out of the stadium. Get there early.

I got a cruddy seat at 10:30am, when I look now there's multiple seats available just a few metres from my excellent season ticket seat in the MM Stand. Majorly gypped.

I stupidly drove to the Manly game and got stuck in the CIT carpark for an hour, and about the same in the actual carpark after the Sharks semigergreg wrote:I always catch the bus, as soon as they get around 20k or more it's slow to get in or out even on the bus.-TW- wrote:Or catch the busgergreg wrote:Its going to be absolute gridlock getting in and out of the stadium. Hi All,
I have three spare tickets (all separate) available if anyone is still looking for an extra seat or two. There is one each in the following bays: 2, 63 and 79. Please PM, if interested.

Re: Preliminary Final tickets
Apart from the obvious dangers of Civic Bus Interchange, wouldn't a Civic Stadium be great right now?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Re: Preliminary Final tickets
Get it from Gungahlin, that's the furthest north and you can just jump out onto Horse Park Drive and then up onto the Highway, 5 minutes tops.Raidersteve wrote: ↑September 23, 2019, 6:29 pm Any tips on possible bus stops on the way in from Sydney. Getting out the bus gets caught in the traffic anyway, but on the plus side you don't have to be trying to get out of a spot or join the road from a parking row, so it's still quicker I think.
Parking is $10 for a dirt paddock, but the bus is free.

The NRL are a joke if they held back Meninga stand tickets.

Should we be pre-booking the parking?
