My understanding is it was a choice about form. I don’t really agree with it.
Me either. But I'm not going to be too miffed if they go with either. Guler is looking a lot better than he was at the start of the year and his game against the warriors was his best. While Guler is in form, at the moment Sutton's best and average is higher and he has big game experience, but he's been a little off lately.
It's pretty awesome that this late in the season we still have some legitimate choices to make in the side because of players playing well rather than the usual "This bloke is under performing but who else is there? Hope he comes good."

It'd be pretty hard to drop the guy that got the job done against Melbourne in Melbourne. The 100% tackle efficiency, 0 errors and 0 pens offsets the lower output.
Sutton has had a few errors creeping in. But he quietly gets through a lot of work and has plenty of exprience. He's a bit further along as a RL player than Guler.

I'm not sure Sutton has the higher ceiling though. Guler is showing a bit more every game and moves well for a guy that big. Still in a stage where he can develop rapidly.

I had always thought Ricky preferred Sutton for his big game experience (in SL) and didn't quite want to have Hors/Young/Guler as rookies x3 in the same pack. Now that Young is gone, that's not an issue.

When I'm talking higher ceiling I'm talking about right now. I agree in 2 years time this conversation is likely very different.
Probably the wrong word to use... "best and worst game at the moment" :doubt:

That’s actually what I thought, but some media reported BJ and Cotric issue as two substitutions.

It seems that for the prelim final you can pick a seat category but not an actual seat within that category - the computer automatically picks the 'best seat available'. I am basing this off the raiders members email and going to ticketek and trying to pick an actual seat for the storm v parramatta game - I hope I am wrong, it wasn't like that in 2016...............

Ken Nagas backs Canberra Raiders' Ram raid

He was part of the Canberra Raiders' last premiership, scoring two tries in the decider way back in 1994. But former-winger Ken Nagas is confident the current Green Machine can end the drought.

"They've definitely got the side to do it, just got to play things cool, don't get too over excited in the next week," the New Widen Valley Rams coach said.

I think Ricky may have deliberately not used all his interchanges because of confusion about the BJ situation and possibly a lack of confidence in the NRL.

The original change was just a team list change.

I'm not sure what a lot of the blow up was about the admin of that, it would have cost an interchange to get Simonsson on regardless and if BJ was ruled out we were allowed to replace him with either Havili or Sutton.

Canberra Raiders centre Joey Leilua's unfinished business in NRL finals

Canberra centre Joey Leilua says he has unfinished business in the NRL finals ahead of the Raiders' first home preliminary final in club history.

"We're all working hard for each other and that's why this team is so great. The whole team has been so gelled this year so I believe we can win it all."

Did I read somewhere in this thread that the ticket number that was emailed to members is the same one to use throughout the finals?

I had no intention of going to Melbourne so just deleted that email. Damn.

ACT government looks to paint town green ahead of NRL Preliminary Final

The ACT government's looking to paint the town green next week ahead of the Raiders' historic preliminary final at Canberra Stadium. Lights on bridges, the Black Mountain Tower, tram stops and maybe even the Carillon will all turn green. There's even a rumour there could be a green tram gracing our brand new tracks.

Just a reminder everyone... members codes can only be used once. You can buy up to eight tickets on the primary ticket holder. So... don't share your members code unless you don't need it yourself.

The files are in the computer?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

This Canberra Raiders fan's Darth Raider costume is a Force to be reckoned with

Conrad Farrell finds your lack of faith in the Raiders' finals chances disturbing. The Conder resident is one of the most recognisable fans at home games, although you wouldn't know him if you saw him out of costume.

Can multiple transactions be done on the one members code, like 4 in first purchase then another 4 later?

Canberra Raiders' belief has been there since day one: Sia Soliola

Sia Soliola is now looking to recreate the feeling Canberra had 30 years ago when the Raiders won they're very first title.

"It's one of those things right from November 1 we had to believe," Soliola said. "Part of the process and hard work is you have to believe that you can do the work.

I said it before and i'll say it again.... I dont fear souths.... tonight was a prime example of why i dont. Their defense is not up to scratch and they dont have a gameplan which will frustrate us.
That being said, theyll probably have a blinder of a game and crush our hopes of a looooooooooooong awaited premiership.
