After today, the only team that can beat the Raiders is the Raiders.

The one problem this season has been dealing with expectation and winning the pressure games when we're favourites.

Give us Souths and it's a 50-50 call on the books and we'll smash 'em.

If it's Manly we'll be favourites and it'll be as tight as hell.

I don't believe in hoodoos. I believe in what 17 men in green who are committed to winning can do. I have no preference for who we play next. Souths are the larger more physical team who played without suspended Sam Burgess on Friday night. They will definitely have him in the side against Manly and the likelihood that Origin player Gagai will also be available for them in their next match. Manly just seem to find a way to win, but I think Souths, with the return of those big match players will be too good for them.

I reckon the Prelim Grand Final will see all Top 4 sides again playing each other. Whoever plays the Storm next week will be against players who will stick with the game plan. The game plan which saw them as clear Minor Premiers and the most consistent side all season.

This, 1000%

Couldn’t care less, couldn’t give a **** who comes into Bruce to play us. We handle our **** and play the way we know we can, and we’re winning that football game regardless of who it is

I agree - fake reality against the pitiful Broncos. Still bloody impressive though.

Parra probably have the most momentum but the hardest run. Wouldn’t be shocked if they beat Storm but doubt they will get over chooks. I don’t think any team that side of the draw would be too relaxed. We are sitting very very pretty. Got to back up what we did last night but couldn’t ask for a better position right now.

The broncos stink and had a terrible season really. We have been in that position many times in the NRL era. The **** team that didn't deserve to be there that was just cannon fodder. Ill worry about Parra if they look the goods against Melbourne.

The roosters are still the team to fear. That said all 6 teams left have the potential to pull off a win.

If Parra go through the Storm and Roosters, then ill gladly take them in the big one
It's weird to say given they finished the season only 2 points behind us, but i dont feel like they're a consistantly good team. If they show up and give it the Storm and Roosters, i dont think they've got 4 in a row in them.

But the other thing about this is to me? Just **** win in Canberra and lets see who we get in the Grand Final
All i want is for this team to get their any given sunday moment, maybe who ever we face there will break our **** hearts, but if we're there, we might just mess around and **** do the thing.

I've personally experienced a more imporbable championship run from a team of mine than the one facing the Raiders today.

If we can't beat either Manly or Souths at home we are dead set kidding ourselves.

Doesn't matter who we play. If we turn up ready to give it 100% we will most likely win.

Eels were dynamite today, especially Moses. They could beat anybody, and with RCG signed for next year, should be strong for some time.

And they won their Grand Final today! We passed their team bus going home to Gundagai on the highway coming back from Melbourne. They waved! They were excited!

Good on them - I’m also no longer nervous about the prospect of playing them as I’d anticipate they will now be drunk till the new year! Haha

Has RCG discovered the art of time travel? Because nothing ive seen from him in the past 2 years suggest he's going to help their front row rotation.

Eels were good, against an abominable Broncos team that stumbled orse over teet into the finals. Not really sure there's too much to read into that at this stage.

I wouldn’t be so sure, we haven’t beaten either team this year. And Sticky has never beaten Wayne as a Raiders Coach.

Yeah, that's all true, but on the flip side, Bennett had a 25% winning record vs Dave Furner as a coach (winning 2 from 8 while he was coaching the Dragons and Knights)...so stats mean jack ****.

We should have beaten Manly twice this season. Those bastards were kicked in the **** by a rainbow twice against us. We are due a win against them.

Post by LastRaider »

If we were able to choose, I would be going Souths. Manly has us mentally at the moment. We can’t handle there niggle, gets to much for us and we have brain explosions.

I tell you what though. I’m glad we don’t have to play Parramatta or Roosters to get to the GF!

After the way we played on Saturday we know we have it in us to beat any team. We should be 100% focussed on what we need to do and if we do it, it won’t matter who we are playing.

I think Manly beat Sharks because they had a tough game against us followed by an emotional roller coaster week leading into the Tigers game.

Re: Souths .. they were busted against Roosters, and Robinson claims they should have scored 50.

End state, I think we have the team and game plan to beat both. If Stuart prepares the team to our potential we are going to make the GF. Frankly speaking, the biggest risk is that this is uncharted territory for most of our playing group and potentially Stuart as well. Ennis needs to stay close to our team to guide them through this process I think.

I like Stuart, but he doesn't have a great record in the finals or even in general coaching record... take the Rooster premiership win out of the equation.

My gut tells me there is a lot behind Ennis' involvement and our success this season.

No way.
If we faced Parra in the GF I'd be more confident than ever.
Melbourne will knock Parra out, then the Roosters will knock Melbourne out.
That's how I see that side of the draw.
I'd be surprised if Souths don't deal with Manly easily.

I get the feeling Manly and Parra played their GF's this week.
Next week will be about the top 4 IMO.
