I just want it to be a good game. The Storm are fairly robotic, so you know what you're going to get there.
With Wighton, Leilua, Bateman, Tapine and Hodgson we've got the weapons to trouble them but also have the potential to completely lose our heads.
Absolutely anything could happen here.

I'd take Raiders by 1! I think Stephen is probably more accurate, but you do have to love Frank's optimism.irvste wrote:I like frank better than Stephen he is a Muppet this Steve says raiders by 8

Thanks! Yes, it was mine yesterday actually (but I had to be at work). Heading up to the Raiders Gungahlin to watch (to both spare my neighbours and at least be able to share the nerves around instead of just sitting on my couch rocking back and forth), anyone else?

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Guler in for Sutton, Papalii on the bench with Lui starting, a couple of interesting calls

Whoa.. Sutton dropped for Guler and Lui will start with Papa on the bench.
Didn't see that coming. Guess Ricky wants the team to weather the Storm in the firat 20 and Papa to make an impact thereafter. Trust in Ricky.

I like Guler in for Sutton btw. Guler has better footwork and is better suited for the Storm imo.

My guess on Papa is that he will come on around the 20-25th minute mark and will see our the game. Let some of our other guys do the grunt work.

Big call. I don't expect Guler to get much time but a huge vote of confidence in him regardless.

Game could be over by the time papa gets on.
Have noticed when Papa plays big minutes he is barely known at the start.

I quite like both calls TBH, if Lui and Sia hold there own Papa, Horse and Guler should dominate that storm bench (B smith is quality but the rest are fairly ordinary)

Hmm big call re: Papa but I can see the logic. If 25mins in we are with them or ahead we get a huge lift when Papa goes on but if 25mins in we are 12 down it’s a long way back. Interesting stuff. I’ll tell you how I feel about it after the game haha

Bad call if true.
We need Papalii from the start.
Must start fast.
If we play conservative, the game will be over before half time, like the bunnies last night.
It’s who dares wins now.

Ennis on fox just defending the decision, Papa was part of the process, understands Ricky’s thinking and is pumped to try and impact when he comes on.

Re: 2019 Finals Week 1 V Storm: Game Day
Why do coaches get crazy creative for finals games?
Bennett last night, now Stick?
If we miss the start we’ll be chasing the game all night again and I’m willing to bet the Storm won’t be as accomodating in giving up a lead at home.
I was calm all day until hearing of this team change. It’s nuts.
