Sezer is well within his rights to punch Hodgo in the face after those last two sets haha

Ah Azza, you bloody genius you :D :D

That is an excellent win. We were always going to be up against it today given the occasion. To find a way to win ugly was an outstanding effort.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Also, huge props to Sezer, he gets ragged hard for his field-goal-kicking ability, but today he just slotted three as cool as you please, with the game on the line. Brilliant.

A win but by god we need to iron out a lot of problems except FG kicking 😀
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

I am normally the most debbie downer in the world but I thought we were pretty good up against a fired up sharks side. We made a few mistakes but i always felt like we were in it up to our eyeballs

and we won.

This side is pretty slapped together. Its wightons first year in the spine, its CNKs first year at fullback for us. We are doing really well imo. I don't know what all the theatrics are. I think we are probably a year off but we are running third and now can't be knocked out the top 4 unless we get brutalised against the warriors.

We have more than exceeded my expectations

Seiffert82 wrote: September 1, 2019, 3:11 pm In attack, this team seems to live and die by Josh Hodgson's mentality. If his passing is off (which happens quite a lot), or if he tries to do too much with the ball, we look very, very average.

Anyway, as always our attitude in defence will determine the result here. They were making far too many metres out there.
Hodgson tries to do too much but he isn't Cam Smith.

That was amazing!! Ruined the Gallen party, wrapped up top 4, put the Sharkies at risk of missing the 8!

Happy Father’s Day everybody!

Sezer what clutch kicking. Must just about have kicked more field goals in that match than the rest of his Raiders career!

So our half stepped up and led the side home in a tight one vs a top team.

While Hodgo ran around like a chook with his head cut off.

Interesting times.

Poor CNK is looking battered. Hope he gets an easy fortnight to come into finals ready and raring to go.

We’ll know if we’re third after Thursday night. Might be able to take the Warriors game a little easier.

The only thing I would really criticise is the kicking. Wighton is a bit heavy footed. Still i thought we were mostly good. Don't see what the tears are about.

If results go our way Thurs and Fri night, and 3rd spot is locked in, we should rest a few key players.

Some huge metres in that game

CNK 25-249
Simo 23-186
Croker 9-177 (including an 80m effort)
Bateman 15-182
Horsburgh 18-168

And a heap more over 100m
