Bateman is going to give Young an uppercut at half time for taking the tap.

I still think we have 20 points in us for the next 40 mins, still confident we can get the job done, Young’s rush of blood cost us 2 points and a hell of a lot of mental plus’s going into the 2 nd half!

tbh we played pretty crap and we are only down by two converted tries. I still have some questions over the disallowed try as an aside. Sia was actually an attacker and was tackled in the play. That is why he was in the defensive line. Since when is it the responsibility of a tackled player to somehow vanish.

He wasn't a traditional lead runner.

From the start of the game the outside backs were taking hit-ups. I have seen this a few times before as it is meant to keep our forwards (mainly Papa) fresher. Scumalla were always going to come out strong and we needed to go toe to toe and not play chess mode.

We are getting owned here, cronulla are out enthusing us. Wish we had tapine for this one, I'd consider putting him on the edge and getting bateman into the middle to stop the rot.
Let's go second half, don't let gal score a try at bare minimum.

Calm down guys. I know it's frustrating but pretty confident we will find a way.

I don’t think we are playing to bad both in defence and attack. Just little errors we are making at the wrong time. It’s the mental discipline we are lacking

We need to calm down and get our heads back together in the second half. Treat it like the Storm game.

That we are only two tries down is very good.

I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)

Well that was trash. We are lucky to only be down by 12 but I feel like we can find a way back into this. Possession will even up and we need to take advantage of it. One try and we are right back in it.

Sutton doesn't aim up most weeks, I agree. He's got a mortgage on a spot in the pack though. He'll be Luke Bateman-like and undroppable for the next year minimum.

3rd game in a row hodgson has been average. Boys need to turn this around or this could be a blood bath. Not over yet but we are not looking good at all. Sad

Very lucky to only be 12 points down.

Our stupid mistakes are costing us. Hodgson’s one on on strips, Charnze dropped ball, Croker and Cotric’s dumb reads and Hudson Young’s moronic play at the end.

And it’s the same most weeks tbh.

We can't blame the refs for this, the Raiders are a rabble. Croker still rushing out of the line, no kicking game, lack of discipline and poor reads in D and A. What does Ricky do between games?
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

Kicking game and fifth tackle options the big difference here, sharks have been exceptional at it, ours has been absolutely disgraceful

Also want to add it’s lucky teams around us have had long spells of being out of form. We’re only on 30 points which usually gives you 7th or 8th spot. We need to be smarter as a team.

Hopefully we come into next season with a miraculous turn around on the 5th tackle options like we did with defense into 2018.

We have had a few silly reads in defense but we are still only down by two converted tries. We are still in this one. Just gotta get into the match.

Forwards have been very quiet and some of our backs have had their worst game of the season. Wonder if it can be turned around.

We need a try early and ride off the momentum of that.

I’m disappointed

I think our try was harshly denied.

I also think we’ve played low % footy.

We need to play smarter and be patient.

How the **** are people seriously saying we'll only be making up the numbers in the finals, what, because we'd never stand a chance against a team like storm? Take a deep breath

It's not a "poor half", it's how we've played all year. There's few games where we've had to consistently work out of our 10 though, where we also got few penalties and the opposition isn't dropping the ball much

I don’t see where our points will come from tbh.
We looked sapped, understandably, but the good teams(contenders) find a way.
Sharks are pumped and I had this as a big loss 5 weeks ago. What frustrates me is not taking our chances in the Roosters and Manly home games.
Oh well.
What is obviously clear is that Sezer wont take us any further than a preliminary final. Glad we’re doing something about this next year.
2020 hopefully might be our best.

Horsburgh was good. Other than that, we were poor. Wighton needs to run more, and both he and Sezer need to improve that kicking game.

Croker will equal Jason Croker on 132 club losses if he drops this one today. He will get there in less games and is defending like he wants the record!!

im the biggest doomer who ever doomed but the side has been really good this year. even this half is nowhere near the worst half of football i have ever seen from the club lol
