Pffft... He'd be wearing it purely in solidarity between trainings just to make a school kid feel better who was feeling embarrassed that they broke their leg before they had to go address the whole school assembly next week. Or some such.

yeah that's been a big take away from me, he's had a tough life growing up with his mum and he seems really focused on being the best husband and father he can be.
I know the club is absolutely in love with him as a human. The guy i spoke too reckons if he's still around he'll be in the captain conversation when Croker and Hodgson have moved on
No surprise he's the player featured on the member renewal pamphlet I got in the mail yesterday.

Any update on ticket sales?

You would surely have to imagine we would crack 20k?

I'd say it would be sitting around 15-16k atm

Walk ups will determine whether it's 20k

Ricky Stuart says Canberra Raiders won't get complacent

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has warned his players not to "drop off a cliff" in the final three games before their second NRL finals campaign in seven years.

"If you lose focus at any stage of the week, at any stage of the season, you can really drop off a cliff.

Canberra Raiders half Aidan Sezer vital cog in Green Machine's charge to finals, says Ricky Stuart

If the Canberra Raiders are to break through for their first premiership in 25 years, then halfback Aidan Sezer's continued solid form will be at the heart of it.

"It's been difficult for Aidan because he's been in and out of the side a little bit with injury at the start of the season and to come in and find his rhythm with a new five-eighth partner and new fullback he's done a good job," Stuart said.

The moment Aidan Sezer realises the Canberra Raiders are making a real difference

The Raiders have traded their lime green base for this week's top four showdown - the club's third in succession - to wear a specially-designed charity jersey.

"It's awesome, obviously raising awareness for the deaf community," Sezer said. "To put them on a pedestal like that and to wear the jersey, it's a massive initiative from the club."

Canberra Raiders rookie Hudson Young stuns Ricky Stuart in 'desperate' return

Hudson Young has left no stone unturned in a "desperate" bid to earn an NRL recall for a side destined to end a three-year finals exile that has left Ricky Stuart stunned.

"He has been very desperate to get back. It was very hard for him to it out those five games. He is a young man who has learnt a very valuable lesson.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I’ve driven down this afternoon for the game on Sunday to say I’m pumped is a understatement !!
Mooseheads tonight and tomorrow to recover before the big dance....
Is there a easy way to get tickets prior to the game, Or should I just do what I was originally planning and buy at the ground at gate opening time ??

You might want to buy on line and get a mobile ticket. You might want to check, but I think it works out to be cheaper, especially if you are buying more than one ticket.

It would be nice to knock off the Sea Eagles and lock ourselves a top-four berth - and I think we will!

However, it's not really the worst thing if we go down, even if we the Sharks get us as well - we will finish in the top 4 as long as we finish with a win over the Warriors (and Manly go down to Storm). Honestly, the win against Storm has given us a bit of breathing space. Souths play Roosters in the last round too.

What we should be thinking is that if we win our next 3 we have a **** at a home final if the chooks stumble at all but that won’t be possible with a loss this week.

I mean you could, and it might work out cheaper because you don't have to pay the Ticketek fee, but it really is just easier to buy online from Ticketek.

We should get 20,000 if the weather stays fine - and it's supposed to - given it's a Sunday afternoon game...but it being shown FTA might hurt a little if it's even a touch cold.
And to all the people who doubted me, hello to them as well. - Mark Webber, Raiders Ballboy and Unluckiest F1 Driver Ever

I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)

We’d need to get them on points which is unlikely given their run home but given some results already this round, stranger things have happened.

Canberra Raiders on the defensive in quest for premiership glory
Mal Meninga

It is important for Canberra to keep winning these tough games leading into the finals. That goes for Manly as well and these two teams, on the rise, face off at Canberra Stadium tomorrow.

I'm a big admirer of both teams but especially the Raiders' defensive qualities. When we break down and analyse past grand finalists, the premiers were generally one of the top defensive sides.

Will he play better or worse with short hair??? Was his long hair his secret strength? :hmmm
At least Manly wont be able to niggle him by pulling it (assuming they can catch him first).
