Some dumb play from us but I think we could play that game 100 times and lose 95 with the officials assigned.

Yep, doesn't get much worse than that first 30 minutes. Horrible stuff.

I think if our middles can continue to hit it up with intent and get away a coupe of offloads we could create a bit of space out there. We've made Melbourne look way better than they actually are.

Yeah, they've had some lucky calls and some good bounces of the ball.

We've been dumb and nothing much is going our way. Such a frustrating Game to watch.

Wigthon needs a huge kick up the **** and I doubt that Ricky is the man to deliver it.

Considering how much the boys have shot themselves in the foot, I still think we have a chance to reel the Storm back in.
Agree that Tapine is a hit head who puts his ego before the team, risking a sin bin less than 5 minutes after Jacks binning is totally unacceptable, should be dropped next week

It’s ridiculous how much the storm get away with.
That being said, we are playing dumb football.

I'm nearly certain that most fans put Melbourne in Melbourne down as a loss no matter how good your team is going, so it's interesting seeing everyone's reactions as though we are throwing our entire season away here!

We've been dumb, a couple of really stupid plays in the first 20 mins which had us defending with 12 for half the time in the match so far against the benchmark. It's not been what we've done all year and I doubt we will pull anything so stupid again the rest of the season. Stick will give the boys a rocket and we live and we learn. Another 40 to play and show some character, maybe force a result if not on to Manly at home next week. Weird to say this proves anything so far.

And a nothing melee usually results in both players being binned. Heck, you punch a bloke in the face and he pushes you, or takes an airswing and both players are marched...

Is it 10 minutes for a punch whether it’s a decent shot or a sissy hit like Taps threw? If he’s going for 10 he may as well have unloaded a decent punch.

The officials are giving you nothing in Melbourne.
That’s why you need to play smart.

Beating the storm down there is very difficult. You give them 20 minutes against 12 men and spot them 70% possession in the first 20 and you don’t give yourself much of a chance

90% of this has been self inflicted

Those two sin bins are both on our players dumb actions.

Amazed at what the refs are letting the Storm get away with in the ruck. So much hand on the ball, second efforts and neck holds.

This will be the most interesting start to a second half in living memory.

Wighton and Tapine should at least be fresh for the next 40.

If we are half serious Tapine is in Reggies next week. He has less emotional control than my 2.5 year old daughter. Very costly. I wouldn't be bringing him back until the Psychiatrist had him on Dex.

Cotric also on my radar. Suli dominates him most times. And he is not near as quick nor aggressive at contact as previous years. Running higher and slower. Simmonsen appearing a better option

Guys what your seeing on tv is only half of what is going on. They are never on side, holding players back off the ball, smith is allowed to do as he likes

Storm are playing really dirty and the refs dont care. Cummins wont let ziggy call anything against storm but screw us ( sports ears)
This isnt a fair fight , i dont blame the boys for any of this

Yep, those strangle holds around the neck are obvious and appalling. I have no idea why the refs allow it. It's awful.

Interesting though.
We have played the dumbest 40 minutes i can remember in years

They've scored 3 tries
2 against 12 men, and one lucky AF bounce of the ball try. I dont see the need for doom and gloom, i really dont.

We are completely unprofessional and do not look like any semblance of a well drilled side. Hodgson is again overplaying it and Tarpine is a joke. I've lost count of the number of times Tarpne has cost us games with his hothead. He is also prone to injury so I see no upside to keeping him.

If we fall out of the 4 we have Buckleys chance of making the GF.
Another year wasted but with the promise, of course, of next year. Always on the never, never!
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"
