Now that is a great win. Really proud today.
Yeah me too, that's the sort of win you hang your hat on
Going against a super talented team who played well, and we beat the **** piss out of them, on their own ground, in front of a packed crowd.
That's a **** brilliant win
The best type of win, they kept coming and we held them well. The scoreline flatters Penrith a little although

You’re kidding
Nope. Klein laid the law down and we didnt hear **** from him thereafter. And the officials had a fine game, and got the vast majority of things right, even when they were tough bang bang plays.
Fantastically done by him.
Yep, refs had a decent game, Maloney should of been sent tho IMO
There were some clutch plays our guys came up with. The short drop out we got back, and the strip from Bateman chief amongst them. Absolute momentum turners.

Definitely a case to be made there and he'd had deserved it, but Klein laid it down to Tamou and said anymore of that and he'd be sitting in the second and boom, he put a sock in it. I got no problem with that.
Ivan's going to be in a bit of ****, but what can the ref do about that, bar lodge it with the NRL? He cant sin bin Ivan or send him off, and he didnt let it impact his game. This was a tough, physical game of footy, Klein let em play and the right team won and dominated.

The best defensive display of the year for mine against a side which has won 7 straight and playing on their home turf with a pumped up local crowd. Very well done Raiders. The signings of JB and CNK have been pivotal in our ladder position imo. Here's hoping the Raiders can all stay healthy for the run into the finals.
Short turn around against the Warriors in another away game. Crucial for our ladder position to maintain the winning streak before our final run home. Focus will need to be on putting together another defensive pressure game against the Warriors as the Raiders did today.
Exactly right, and with it being a mini tour to nz, I have faith we can get the 2 next week also, what a great effort tonight.
We have Cotric, BJ, Hudson Young and Sutton to come back
That's one thing I like this season, we have structure in our style of play. And our defence can hold out our mistakes.
Also Whoever comes in knows their job, from bench forwards to our 3rd choice right centre.

Bring back Pigman is a #### and everybody knows it...was that the name of the post ?

What a win. Tremendous.
Correct on all accounts, massive win for the team and fans

Tough game. Great performance from our boys. My only gripe is we need Papa and Tapine playing more minutes come the Finals. I am hoping that if/when Joey comes back he takes the 4th bench spot while regaining match fitness. Then when he is ready to start we move Bailey to the bench like in the Roosters game.
So you were cheering Croker’s kicks wide to keep you 11-20 margin haha
Actually, I tried to forget about my stake.
In the end, it's the last time I'll bet on a raiders game like that... Bloody thing played on my mind instead of just enjoying the game for what it was. I couldn't remember what margin I backed, so yeah... I was still praying on crokers conversions like always
I was confident prior (irrespective of the bet) but I'm happy with what I saw. To sustain so many sets was pleasing, even given the tries we conceded. Years gone by that would've happened on the second tackle.

Where you getting that stat from?
NRL.com
Raiders were peeling off tackles way too quickly
Na i think they were mindful of the environment they were playing in, and Penrith were moving as a pack. I think they did it well, controlled the ruck as best they could and knew their defence was good enough to take whatever they dished up.
I really think this was one of the best team performances weve had in year. The Panthers played VERY well.
Just like last week, the scoreline was disappointing but the Tigers showed up and gave us their best, so too did the panthers today
Panthers have a very talented roster but not playing as a team. A mountain of possession in our red zone but had little cohesion. It was like nobody knew the plan they were meant to execute.
FTR I think Cleary is overrated. Maloney was the one trying to make things happen.

You know what was strange about today's game? At no point in that last 10 minutes did I think the Panthers would run us down. Great defence, good game management and they didn't put the cue in the rack until the last two minutes or so.
Some people talk about the weather. Others do something about it.

Agreed. Cleary tries really hard but he is not a talented player. I think somebody mentioned in this thread or over at LU that he would make a better hooker, and I agree.
