Dear Raiders Management, please buy a half before June 30

Post by LastRaider »

This year could be a special year for the club, if we had a half decent no. 7 to support Jack out there.

Please Raiders management, I know you monitor the GH, please please go and find us a no. 7 who can guide us into the finals before June 30

Yeah swap Williams or Sezer for Munster, I’m sure other clubs are always willing to swap or release high quality for next to no money.

Although next season we’re probably going to have a NEW Williams vs Sezer thread to debate all season

They’ve purchased their half
It’s George Williams

For 2019 it’s either Williams or Sezer, and all rats but a few of the simple ones have rightfully abandoned the Sam Williams ship.

We probably can’t expect a great deal from Sezer in terms of his attack but he’s the best option we’ve got for 2019

You reckon Sezer is still here next year? it's hard to see him not leaving with Williams on the way.

I stick by this thread, we won’t make the semi’s with Sezar or Williams as our no. 7 this year.

Good teams know how to target them, exploit them and bring out their weaknesses. Either through poor defence (Williams) or poor ball playing which results in loss of confidence and he tries to kick everything (Sezar).

Sezer kicked it dead twice in this game.
But then he defends so good (for a half), and then comes up with some magic tonight.
He plays with my heart

We will make the 8, but won’t beat the Storm, Souths, Roosters or Manly. There to smart for us.

We have Papa, Cotric, Wighton, Bateman at there peak this year, with our depth players really excelling when called upon. If we had a smart no. 7 who can execute we could push into the grand final. Momentum is everything which we have

Ok, so who is this number 7 the club can get here by June 30.

There are about 3 halves in the entire league who are anywhere near the standard that people seem to expect from a half, it's the weakest the positions have ever been.

1. Do a deal with Wigan and get Williams here now. Trade players to England, it’s a business after all.

2. Maloney from Panthers. He is a winner, steady hand and has the experience we need for the big matches.

3. Josh Reynolds from West Tigers. Not getting game time at Tigers, has experience and good game smarts

With G Williams coming i would think at least 2 are going. Hingano or Ohagan will go along with Sam or Sezar. If it was a financial decision you would offload sezar and keep Sam on nothing(which is what he is on now) as the insurance policy. Hingano or Ohagan will go due to no opportunities and i see them signing a 20’s half on a development contract. Just my opinion but the most common sense financial approach in particular since they have laid there cards on the table with Williqms already signed

You had one genuine option in that list and made the mistake of trying to get to three. Maloney and Reynolds. Sheesh.

I’m with you last raider - Sezer did some good things last night but he gave the tigers 2 seven tackle sets. All our tries were opportunistic brilliance rather than clever structured attack and his cross field kick never gave the outside backs a fair play at the ball.

Get Willaims early or trade off some players where we have depth to get a 7 from another club for a year. We are a genuine chance this year but we do lack quality at 7.

Thanks Billy, the GH seam to forget the last 18 months of consistently poor performances from Williams and Sezar because we beat a bottom 8 team who got beaten 50+ points by parramatta a few weeks ago.

I just believe like you we are a genuine chance if we can get a quality no. 7 by June 30.

If you don’t think any of those 3 half’s are an improvement on what we have, you must genuinely believe Sezar or Williams can guide the team to grand final success

Give me a break, if we have manly at home with a full team we flog em, they had some of the most home town Harry reffing ever in that match and we went to sleep.

Did you seriously make this thread 45 minutes into an away game where we shut out the opposition and our halfback - his name is Sezer, by the way - was very very good?

Rest your head, mate.

Yep shut out a bottom 8 team who got beat 50+ by the Eels a few weeks ago. Sezer is the man to guide us to the flag.

Forgetting about last night for a second, who would you even suggest we buy before June 30? Do you think quality halves are just sitting there waiting to be purchased.
There is a lack of quality halves in the NRL, let alone ones available to purchase.
