I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)

Bateman back with a bang as Raiders scrape past Bulldogs
England forward John Bateman helped get Canberra’s season back on track against Canterbury at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night after flying 17,000 kilometres to make an early comeback from a fractured eye-socket. Bateman, who had not been due to return for another month scored a try in an inspirational performance as the Raiders hung on win 12-10.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Pretty ordinary roster though, Hasler decimated that club.Makaveli wrote:Dean Pay needs the sack they are putrid

I can't believe some of the idiots on here laughing at CNK for getting run down - he had already run 200m prior to that point ****

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
The dogs made a lot of ground using their backline but the raiders didn't use theirs at all. Ricky has to get up in the box so he can see what is unfolding below. Very unprofessional from Ricky to cling to his childish conviction that being on the sideline gives him a better feel for the game. All in all a crap game but at least a win :-0
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

Yeah, anyone who laughed at CNK getting run down can just...no. The guy was enormous.

This moment described the game for me as a spectacle;
54th minute, Warren Smith in commentary "Sutton tackled on the 5th (it was Young). Williams kicks, he and Sezer are doing a great job controlling the game". Haha. Our halves were a solid 5/10 at best.

Thought both Horsburgh and Lui helped change the momentum in attack and defence when they came back on later in the second half.
We were losing our way before they added some enthusiasm.

Yep, if there was any grounds to criticise him its for not going back in field. I still think he should have had some support from a Raider.
CNK is a stud

The big Red had a mighty game; looked completely buggered at the end. The Clock was massive, Croker not so much but his one-on-one strip probably won the game.
