Probably just a bad night but he would put his hand up to play even if he was busted.

I really like starlings effort in defence
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
We won, but i'm still not happy... although we have established that Bateman and Klockstad are BEASTS!
Feel real sorry for dogs fans, rough times ahead for them.

He hit everything under the ribs that ran at him and I wish Ricky would put him on earlier

BJ was looking like our most dynamic back this year, his defence had taken a leap. We'd be mad not to stick with him given he's hitting his prime.Pete Cash wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 9:10 pmWhat about people talking about tough decisions to be made about Beej when he is obviously a better player than CrokerRoger Kenworthy wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 9:08 pm I love how Croker is having a dog of a season yet the priority on here seems to be to move on Rapana. Spot on GT.Green Taipan wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 9:25 pm The dogs made a lot of ground using their backline but the raiders didn't use theirs at all. Ricky has to get up in the box so he can see what is unfolding below. Very unprofessional from Ricky to cling to his childish conviction that being on the sideline gives him a better feel for the game. All in all a crap game but at least a win :-0
Might also be handy for Rick to be able to see Croker constantly rushing up and tackling air on the left edge too
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
To give him some credit - he was flying off the line in defence, on a number of occasions he made the bulldogs change course/take an easy tackle just to avoid himWiki Special wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 9:31 pmProbably just a bad night but he would put his hand up to play even if he was busted.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Very valuable win. Still worried about the game next week though, I suspect given we are playing on the Friday we may still be fairly under strength.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Should have been on as soon as we got it to 10-0. Dogs were looking tired at that point.Goldcoast Raider wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 9:32 pm He hit everything under the ribs that ran at him and I wish Ricky would put him on earlier
Stick actually brought him on for his first look at FG just as the Dogs were at their peak, rolling right through us! Starling acquitted himself well - but was done no favours by the coach with the timing

Young may just cop a fine for the gouge if the media don't blow it up. It looked more an old fashioned facial than a gouge. The McGuire one was worse imo.

Sezer was passable, but Williams was once again poor. Some of Sams passes were very inaccurate and lucky to be caught by our players.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
I agree. It wasn't an eye gouge. I'd be disappointed if he got suspended.
Just coming on here to recognise CNKs performance. What a find this kid is!!

It was silly, but no more than what Burgess himself does every week.

I thought Starling’s passes from dummy half were schoolboy level. Very wobbly and lacking crispness.raiderskater wrote:Oh my god Starling is so so so so so tiny hahaha

Clearly very nervous to begin with. Slow motion - probably didn't want to make an error - but I thought he improved a little after a few sets.BJ wrote:I thought Starling’s passes from dummy half were schoolboy level. Havili is such a good backup 9. He's better than some sides starting hooker.

Horsburgh and Lui might not produce the occasional highlight reel Moments of Boyd and Paulo, but how much better is their consistent effort and how much more bang for buck do we get from these two.

Really happy to get away with that game. Missing 6 of our best players it was always going to be a risky match for us. Good job getting the 2 points even though it wasn't our slickest performance.

His left to right was just terrible. The right to left is better but he's looked crisper at Mounties.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
I’d like to give a wrap to Seb Kris defensively. Really held his own tonight and was tough and bruising in defence. Foran was threatening down that side all night but Kris stayed solid, was really impressed with the young bloke. Will be good depth moving forward. Still plenty of development to go but good signs.

People saying it was ugly, untidy etc. **** DO YOU EXPECT? hahaa we got half our side ****. Just had to win that come what may. Couldn't have given a toss how we did it. Very very important win. If we make the 8 that 1 could be the difference.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
It is but Pay makes stupid decisions week in week out. Why Rhyse Martin is getting 30 odd mins s game is beyond me. And dropping CHN was baffling, he's been their best forward this year.

I didn't get to see the match but very happy with 2 competition points. Injury and Rep depleted it was a real test of our depth. We have 2 more matches during the Origin period to also try to secure the competition points. I don't care if the match is ugly, the team need the competition points and we got them. Well done Raiders.

Your being generous with Sezer. I thought they were both poor. Not only do they lack execution they lack feel for the game. We need to move both on ASAP, I now class them as passengers in the teamBJ wrote:Sezer was passable, but Williams was once again poor. He was good in the first galf but got found out way to often in the second half everytimr thry went down that side either looked like they would score, make massive metres, lead to a try or score a try.Danaman137 wrote:I’d like to give a wrap to Seb Kris defensively. I didn’t think players gave each other up like that. Those comments can’t help his case. Geez he clearly upset Burgess when he took him on. Good on him! I’m sick of hearing about Hors’ breathing techniques to calm him down - I say wind them up and let them go. Sure it’s inevitable that between Young, Hors and Bateman someone will cop a week or two suspension at some point but let them off the leash and everyone will hate playing the raiders!magoo wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 11:00 pmBurgess said on Fox that young did it to him when we played them 2 weeks ago.raiderskater wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 9:57 pm It was silly, but no more than what Burgess himself does every week.
