2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Safe, nondescript half so far.
Very limited creatively but the defensive seems to be holding up.
If we lose this one and from here especially, put a fork in us for the rest of the season IMO.

Yeah I mean considering how many players are out and how many makeshift combinations we're running at the moment we're still scoring points fairly well so I'm not complaining too hard about our attack.
We're bleeding too many metres in defence, but I'm sure we can fix that.

I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Sezer has almost made 100 metres from 8 runs.
Horsburgh and Young have been leaders of the pack. Impressive for young inexperienced players.

Sezer is having one of his best games for us in the last 18 months, which says it all as he's still having a poor one. Williams is having a bludger though.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
I’m pretty convinced that Leilua is the 2nd best centre in rugby league tbh.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Yeah if Beej returns at his best he is in the team.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Just sidestepping the boring Williams v Sezer debate. Surely Ata offers more - the other two have zero running game, anytime either of them take on the line they look like they're running in sand. I remember Ata at least had a bit of zip and actually looked threatening with ball in hand.

Young pinched Tolmans nose. What's the penalty for that?

Huddo will be in some trouble after that replay of the gouge on Fox. Silly stuff.

Replay of the Hudson Young alleged eye gouging incident... probably didn't do much damage, but it didn't look great. Could be in a bit of trouble.

Kept his error count to 2 with those horrible kicks, which is good for Sezer over 40 minutes. Been very good defensively.afgtnk wrote: ↑June 1, 2019, 8:29 pmHuh. Definitely much faster than the two out there and can play direct.

We need to use the backline; the Dogs are stacking the middle.

It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

49th min Christian Crichton held up over the line, good defence from Kris and Nicoll-Klokstad. And the Raiders hold them out on the last tackle.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Not a fan of Sezer running it on the fourth constantly... Means we only have one kicker available for the last
