1. CNK
2. Simonsson
3. Croker
4. Oldfield (Kris if Raps isn't back)
5. Rapana (Oldfield if Raps isn't back)
6. Sezer (I would love for Hingano to get a shot but I think Sticky will stick with Williams)
7. Williams (Didn't play well enough to get picked but Sticky doesn't have much of a choice)
8. Horse
9. Havili
10. Lui
11. Young
12. Whitehead
13. Sutton
14. Starling (If he gets the 30th spot otherwise this will be Hingano)
15. Tapine (Royce Hunt if Tapine is injured)
16. Soliola
17. Guler/Murchie (What's the news with him is he injured?)

Obviously not our best side and would be great if Taps, Rapana and Bateman could all get out on the field but I still think we can win against a struggling Bulldogs side. I think CNK and Croker really need to step up in the absence of Jack and Cotric and produce something special this week.
I really don't think much of Hingano. He didn't provide anything of value when he played for the Raiders last year. How's he been for Mounties? Or has he been injured a lot this year?
I didn't either, but he's played hooker and wing for us when he's an out and out half. Got to give him a bit of benefit.

The Canberra Raiders have named their squad for Saturday nights match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

With injuries and Origin players unavailable there’s been a host of changes to the Raiders side, with a new face in Raider #362 Tom Starling named on the bench for the Green Machine.

Starling has been playing some wonderful football for Mounties in the Canterbury Cup and comes into the squad for Josh Hodgson, who has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb.

Starling has been signed as one of the club’s development players for the 2019 season but has been granted an exemption by the NRL to join the top squad this weekend, due to the Raiders injury toll and Origin unavailability.

The loss of Hodgson sees Siliva Havili moved to starting hooker, after he covered the second half for the Raiders Captain in last weeks match against the Cowboys.

Aidan Sezer makes his return to the NRL side this week at five-eighth for Jack Wighton who is unavailable due to NSW selection, while Sebastian Kris will start his first NRL match after being named for Nick Cotric who is also on NSW duty.

Corey Horsburgh will start his first NRL match after being named at prop to replace Josh Papalii, with Emre Guler coming onto the interchange bench.

There’s also been a shift to the back row, with Hudson Young to start at lock, Joe Tapine to start in the second row and Ryan Sutton to move back onto the interchange bench.

John Bateman has been named on the extended bench for the Raiders with Ata Hingano, Royce Hunt and Andre Niko.

Jeez, no way Bateman's playing. Shows how hard up we are having to name injured players in the squad.

Bateman hasn't even landed in Australia I think. Hard to see him playing.

The biggest surprise with that side is Young at 13.

That's still a pretty good pack. If the team aims up, there's really no reason they shouldn't beat the dogs.

No surprises here, despite all the personnel changes.

Kris a 2nd cap with Cotric on Origin duty.

Sezer back for Jack on Origin duty.

Tapine gets his edge back fulltime.

With the experienced Papa out, the Big Red Fire Engine gets a run starting. Earnt it too.

With Havili moving to 9, Ricky wants the experienced Sutton to come into the game to fill that impact role. Suring up the middle third for the middle mins. Probably also gives him some tougher, and bigger bodies to protect the debutant in Starling.

Means Young gets another nod, with a start at lock. BUUUT.... the lurking Pom on the extended. He is just tough and crazy enough to play.

Guler gets a 2nd run in FG this yr, pending the above.

I really think putting Bateman out at Centre wouldn't be the craziest thing to do. Just makes us that little bit more solid, and protects his eye more than having him in the middle.

Stuart has been pretty diligent at playing the team 1-17 as named this year, I actually really like it, and I don't suspect him to do otherwise this weekend.

Having said that, if there's a week you'd like to see him pull a smokescreen, it's this week.

You take 3 rep players out on top of a massive injury toll and I would still back this team against the Raiders round 12 2018 team. We’ve improved a lot in 12 months!

I'm assuming Tapine is going to get rested at some point. We're going to leak like a sieve later with his lack of fitness and Williams reverting to Williams.
Great to see J Bateman back on the list. If he was zero chance of playing they could have named JJ Collins instead so fingers crossed.

Ricky has Dean Pay right where he wants him in regards to the smokescreens after teaching him all his tricks. It's the ultimate long game double bluff that will mentally destroy the Bulldogs hardman in the lead up to this clash.
We continue to **** about with blokes that are part of some fraternity. It's infuriating.

By the way, anyone canning Hingano

a) didn’t see him play for Warriors or Tonga

AND/OR

b) knows very little about rugby league when basing the performance of a half on a very small sample size of games played as a bench hooker/ fill in winger

Wouldn’t it be nice if we actually encouraged a young player, with potential, for at least a short run of full games in his natural position before putting a line through him? Why aren’t people keen to see if he’s worth having on our books as a HALF? Especially when he plays the position in rugby league that is the toughest to recruit for! Good grief.

Yeah I’ve seen enough of Hingano to see there is a lot of talent there. He will go well given a decent run in the halves.

Agree, I would of thought he had Vetter firm for Mounties and deserved a shot before sezer

We’ve had worse full-strength teams than this in the past 15 years that’s for sure.

Think we’ll still win this one. I’m strangely looking forward to seeing Sezer play again for some reason.

Starling has been playing some great footy at Mounties, from the games I've seen. The main issue is his size... he's quite small for first grade. I think he'll do a good job coming off the bench. He's certainly got some zip and that could cause some problems against a tiring forward pack.

Considering what has happened with other players with facial injuries, I'd rather we take a cautious approach.

We do have an international coming back from injury, time for him to step up.
