Cotric, Leilua, Rapana, Wighton, Papalii, Hodgson, Bateman and Tapine all on the sidelines.
What % of our cap would that be?
Almost laughable if we win this game.

He warmed up as 18th man yesterday.Sezer's Palace wrote: ↑May 26, 2019, 11:59 am You may well be right. Didn't realise before but it looks like Seb Kris also got pulled from Mounties today. Looks like our team next weekend is going to be comparable to what we trotted out in the first trial hahaha.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
Well, we really screwed up not winning any of the last 3 games didn't we?
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
Given who is likely to be out (assuming Cotric and Wighton both Origin and Tapine injured as usual), this is the team I think most likely to be selected.
1. Nicol-Klokstad
2. Simmonson
3. Croker
4. Kris
5. Oldfield
6. Sezer
7. Williams
8. Sutton
9. Havili
10. Soliola
11. Young
12. Whitehead
13. Horsburg
14. Starling
15. Lui
16. Guler
17. Collins (I'd happily play Hunt, but since Collins has already got a game this year, I'll guess Ricky will go back to him.
I don't see why Ricky would take a backrower (Whitehead) out of an already greatly weakened pack to play as a makeshift centre when he has already begun blooding Kris...
I am assuming the Mountiesm lineup pulls mean Sezer and Starling will play (Starling to be upgraded to our final roster spot) because HAvilii has trained all off season to be an impact bench player and can't go a full 80 at hooker.
Our pack is losing the first 20 minutes battle too often- swapping Sia and Lui in hope of redressing that. This team will need to start well to be a hope and gain confidence.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
as bad as the named team may be, I think we play the perfect opponents in The Bulldogs, as my Siblings support The Dogs, I have watched most of their games and they are shocking, Trust me Bulldogs wont blow us off the field, if anything Raiders will again beat them in a ugly match in saying that, this is such an important match for the Raiders.
Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
Is there any chance at all for Bateman to play this game? He is back in full training this week. He might be able to play at right centre?

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
John Bateman has only returned to full time training after spending time back in England with his family. I doubt he'll be called back this soon. There seems to be some concern about Tapine eating injured again.
Blooding so many players early in the season is turning into a master stroke by Stuart. We're down to just eight or nine players who would normally be in our regular 17.
The players for their part (a.k.a. the Last Men Standing) need to get their act together in defence and improve their discipline. It doesn't take a genius to realise that the refs will penalise us just for breathing too hard on an opponent in the ruck.
1. CNK
2. Simonsson
3. Croker
4. Oldfield back to centre because he's more experienced than Kris.
5. Kris
6. Sezer on what could be one of his last chances. If he fails, he should be released prior to the 30 June deadline
and free up some salary cap space.
7. Williams
8. Guler
9. Havili
10. Lui
11. Young
12. Whitehead
13. Sutton
14. Soliola
15. Horsburgh
16. Tapine if he's fit, Collins if he's not
17. Hingano because you just know Stuart will play him at hooker at some stage. He's not going to put Williams
at hooker off the bench because he just doesn't have the size and stamina in defence.

Assuming everyone that might get picked is picked:
1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
2. Bailey Simonsson
3. Jarrod Croker
4. Sebastian Kris
5. Michael Oldfield
6. Aidan Sezer

13. Ryan Sutton
14. Tom Starling
15. Emre Guler
16. Joseph Tapine (if injured Royce Hunt)
17. Sia Soliola
That really is a busted **** of a team compared to our full strength side.
There really should be some drops / shifts after that last performance but needs must.

Yeah that's Josh Starling.
I don't think Tom is a large enough body for firsts but I'm not playing Sezer or Hingano at hooker. Tom can play the 10 either side of the half to give Havili a rest and maybe jag a try with that lightning speed.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
This place becomes so depressing after a loss. Not many people would have had us in the top 5 after 10 rounds. The last month has not been kind to us with injuries but our early form this season is likely to result in representative football for a couple of our players more than our normal 1 at best.
We still have enough talent in our team to play good football and one bad performance does not mean our season is over and we can no longer beat a side who has struggled all season.

Not sure there is too much to the story he did hold his shoulder after a tackle. However when Ricky was asked how Tapine came through the games he said he got through the game alright. Surely if there was a problem he would have said he had copped a shot to the shoulder but would have to see how he pulls up.

He isn't in the club injury report. I think they are just pacing him.

Either way this is going to be tough. Very happy for papa, jack and Nick though.

Jesus Christ looks like we’ll be going in without Hodgson, Bateman, Leilua, Rapana, Papalii, Wighton and Cotric. Doesn’t get much more rough than that.
That’s got to be almost half of the salary cap and realistically our best 6 players imo. Only player available with a shout for that top 6 is Whitehead.

Have we ever had such quality off the pitch?
This season could so easily spiral out of control. Tbh, I’m not expecting much for the remainder of the season now with so much quality out.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
Starling was pulled from Mounties which is an indicator that he may play.
I guess that makes him player 30, unless we argue for dispensation because of the lack of players available.

Re: 2019 Rd 12 V Bulldogs: Teams and Previews
I dont want to see Hingano anywhere near this team, I hope Starling gets a shot, he is a zippy type player, we could use that around tired bulldogs. Tapine is a MUST, im happy with the halves in sezer/willz, cant do much about the backline, but at least these kids will step up knowing this is there time to shine.

Has there been any word on the Hodgson injury? A mate of mine is saying he's 6-8 weeks?
