Nicko, you've got a good footy brain. Tell me straight..... did you honestly think Sam would lead this team to the semis?

Also

Do you think Sam is a quality NRL halfback

Firstly, nothing could be more insulting

Secondly, this team wins in spite of it’s half, that’s regardless of Williams or Sezer being there. They are in the team to catch, pass, occasionally kick and try not to **** it up. The teams success is not bound to them in anyway, so no I don’t think we have a halfback on the roster that’ll lead us to the finals

No, he’s a solid back up, ideally he’s in your squad and you never use him. If you do use him for long stints you’re going to have a tough time of it. Not a FG quality halfback
Last paragraph says it all.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

So you can have control with a hand on the underside and ground?

We’re looking small and weak today. The big Cowboys forwards are smashing us.

42nd min TRY COWBOYS to Kyle Feldt. He might have dropped this... the bunker goes with the on field referee. The kick to the corner exposed the Raiders badly. Feldt was the only player out there. He managed to score despite a horror bounce. Kahu misses the conversion. Hits the post.

He does not have that instinctive quality that the best players have, and he isn’t going to learn it 10 years into his career I don’t think.

In the right lighting he can be serviceable; decent even - but he will never be the top tier organising half you often need to win a premiership.

It’s precisely why we are getting Georgie Will next year.
I don't get posts like this.

It's like, yep, thanks for pointing out the bleedingly obvious - apart from the G Williams part, which I wouldn't be so sure about.

If we can’t aim up at home against the **** Cowboys with a top 4 spot on the line then we’re nowhere.

The thing with Williams is that when we dumped him a few years ago not a single NRL club offered him a life line.

Yeah it is very disappointing. Probably our worst performance of the year. The last 2 weeks have clearly taken a toll. Very disheartening, this is more like the Raiders of the last 2 years. :-( I'd honestly been trying to hold out hope that we'd start to show the ticker we have in previous matches this year but geez... this is bad

This is why last weekend sucked right? All we had to do was ground a ball to pick up the W and keep our momentum going.

Of course on the GH the romantic thing to do was write a sentiment about how we'll be better for losing :roflmao

So you never made a Sezer post like that?
I can't recall anyone saying, certainly at least within the last 1-2 years, that Williams is good enough, or potentially top tier - that's the difference.

He's a back up and a good, cheap one at that. We need to shift Sezer out and either sign a decent halfback or produce one.

Pretty simple to me.
