Workhorses and rising youngsters across several clubs have secured their futures, or have the chance to, with player options to be taken up by June 30.

Interesting to see we have a club option for 2020 on Horse.

This is good to see in official form at last. Any transparency from the NRL is good. Now they just need to add the salaries.
The big news that we didn't know is Young is on a 3 year deal and Whitehead and Jack have options for an additional year over what was reported.

Players Salary and third party deals across the NRL should initially be open and published solely for the viewing of each clubs CEO. With each CEO signing a non disclosure agreement for all contracts.
This would be a good start to ensure better visibility of payments.

So we have 29 players, we soon need to have 30. Who do you think will take the final slot?

At a guess I’d say a Mounties back will be added as cover for leilua’s season ending injury. So a Santini, Rennie or Niko
Would have won Boogs - 2016, 2017, 2018

A Twitter poster has said Satini is still training with the first grade squad (which is what I had understood too, in that he seems to be based in Canberra). Rennie has also been great for Mounties... but he seems to bounce around a lot of clubs. Maybe a development player gets added.
Re: Which player will take the Canberra Raiders 30th place in the top squad?
I"m pretty sure development players can play after June 30 now. So I'm not sure they will add one.
Rennie or Santini seem most likely but there might be a couple of decent first graders on the market with a few clubs seasons almost done already.
