I’d be axing Williams and Lui. Bring back Sezer and either Murchie or Guler.

Simmonson straight on to the wing for Rapana.

We are going to have to be a lot better with our defence this week that is why I am leaning towards Collins over Guler.

Sia has been fantastic off the bench and in the middle, don’t think Young did anything wrong either today. Also think Sia might be a little off the pace for the edge now so leave hi as the bench impact

Yeah I can’t have Lui anymore. Just doesn’t offer anything with and with out the ball

People are being pretty tough on Lui. He has one error for the whole season and given we surely won't be carrying a bench back this week it's hard to see how dropping him for someone else makes sense.

As long as your backside points to the ground Wighton will be #6.

Take a deep breath and let it soak in.

Also, why type Hudson Young in full ?

Sorry PJ about the Young thing, however Wighton to centre when we have Sezar in reserves makes complete sense to me. He is playing like a centre anyway...

Absolutely ludicrous. Bloke makes one error and people want him gone.

Hot tip: Lui has been one of our consistently best forwards for three seasons now, he does his job perfectly.

On today’s performance you’d drop Sutton before Lui (not that I would!)

Kind of odd that Raiders supporters are all hoping that Raps is today diagnosed with a PCL injury that will keep him out a few weeks. I get that will be a brilliant outcome compared to the alternative season ending ACL but just seems odd we would almost be celebrating this outcome. Perspective is a funny thing!

1stly, the comeback on the weekend was admirable. Yes, there were some dumb plays and magic ones. We can scrutinize the Cotric basketball pass rather than a spiral about 5m earlier, which TBH, was a shocker. The game was won and lost far before that, and esp that 1st try of the 2nd half.

However, in 2019, we are theoretically contenders. Contenders shouldn't get beaten by teams who have lost their best player (Manly), and shouldn't get beaten by a team down to 14/15 for a large chunk of the game (Chooks). I know that Ricky isnt making excuses with turnarounds and injuries this yr, and thats great, BUT, time to put some big boy pants on Raiders. Love what your doing in 2019 but its time to be ruthless, the capital wants an Premiership trophy!

We are down our 2019 right edge - Tapine, Leilua and Rapana heading into Rd 10. We are also down arguably our best player in 2019 in Bateman. Its not easy, but right now, the better teams are still winning with depleted troops.

Most of the side picks itself, however, Id like to see a couple of changes (also, hope Ive complied with the spelling/ punctuation/ grammar Nazis):

1. C.N.K
2. Cotric
3. Croker
4. Oldfield
5. Simonsson
6. Wighton (anyone suggesting we move the guy whos has quickly become our most dangerous player, needs to have a cup of coffee and look themselves over in the mirror)
7. Williams or Sezer (Dont really care, flip a coin. We know what Sammy is, the best backup in the NRL, yep backup, and TBF, Sezer has been disappointing in Green. I think Sezer has better upside, but we havent seen enough of it.)
8. Papalii
9. Hodgson
10. Havili (I was going to put Sutton at 10, but these days its just a number. I think his middle work is seriously under rated. BTW, very sure Ricky wont do it, and that Lui and Havili will be as per normal)
11. Whitehead
12. Young (As Ricky picked him vs Chooks, I dont see Soliola or Papalii as options here unless no one left, which, TBH, isnt far away, esp now that Murchie has a busted wrist/ thumb. I believe Tapine isn't far off, was an outside chance last week, so hopefully that makes his a possible this week, we need some troops back, so would be a massive IN)
13. Sutton (1 bad game in 6 or 7, ins't bad at all)

14. Lui (He is a solid player, plays his role. Im not a fan per-say, but he is top 17 material, and certainly isn't as bad as people make him out to be)
15. Soliola
16. Guler (this would be Young or Tapine hopefully)
17. Horsbough

18. Williams/ Sezer
19. Seb Kris - might be the only back left standing?
20. Guler
21. Hunt/ Collins

Pending injuries:
1. CNK
2. Cotric
3. Croker
4. Oldfield
5. Simonsson
6. Wighton
7. Williams (these are probably the 2 hardest defensive games he'll have all year, still should be back to mounties if he defends poorly again)
8. Papalii
9. Hodgson
10. Soliola
11. Young
12. Whitehead
13. Sutton

14. Havili
15. Guler / or if you wanna throw in the token injury cover Seb Kris
16. Horsburgh
17. Lui

Jarrod Croker says Canberra Raiders need to rise with Josh Papalii

Captain Jarrod Croker has sent a stern message to his teammates as the injury-riddled Canberra Raiders set their sights on a top four showdown: we can't keep relying on our Papa.

"Papa has been our best player. We've had a lot of good players over the first eight or nine weeks, but Papa has been continuously one of our best," Croker said. "We can't keep relying on Papa, we need to share the workload a bit. Sia [Soliola] is another one who has worked really hard.

Its a tough pick for the bench this week for Stuart. He’s low on options and seems not too keen on either Collins, Guler or Hunt Atm.

I’m critical of Lui because of that mistake mid second half. It’s harsh but he’s not good enough to make errors at important moments like that. We probably don’t have the troops to shaft him atm with Bateman and Tapine out but he needs to be faultless with the simple stuff. He needs to be our Isaac Liu.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

JJ Collins didn't take his chance in firsts... and unfortunately also suffered a concussion in the NSW Residents loss to Queensland Residents on Sunday. He was up and sitting on the sidelines by the end of the game, though, which is good news.

Mate have a look at his error count this season. He then makes up with it by pulling off a 1 on 1 strip. That was a bit of ambition and ability and smarts. Apart from the drop his 2nd half stint was good actually. Yes, with an absolute full strength squad then he's under pressure but until we have all hands on deck, his out put has been solid for his role. I think potentially Havili could start to get us off to a stronger beginning but Lui is worth the spot in the 17 on form so far.

I hear Hodgo mentioned Tapine being close to being fit.
