40th min Great work Croker, stripping the ball!

HALF TIME

Canberra Raiders 14 lead Penrith Panthers 0

John Bateman despondent in the sheds, looks like he's definitely out of the match.

Great defensive effort. Penrith are pretty average though.

You would hope if there is any game we know to play for 80 in its this one.

A real gutsy first half built on defence and backs to the wall, now with the wind at our backs we can finish them off!

Despite the commentators cheering for panthers I think they are in struggle town. Down on form, against the wind and ground out of that half. An early try in the second half and I reckon they drop away totally in this one

That's a tough AF half of footy from us. We played very poor at times but we're defending our arses off, kudos to Williams-Oldfield, they've put it on the line today and are holding up extremely well

With players out onjured, a make shift right side and our man Bateman out we are showing real fight. Games like this show what your team is made of. Our boys are made of steel.

According to Maloney, Penrith had the wind this half. Tough ask for them to come back from 14-0 with the wind against them.

Penrith have got a good few breaks, but it's all falling to pieces for them shortly after.

I honestly don't know what commentary you you guys are listening to. It's not stellar commentary by any means, but they are not biased towards Penrith and have given us plenty of wraps.

Cotric needs to do a bit more - get back and take those hard carriers early in the set. Geez they have been great though - Wighton has been outstanding- about time!!

Also I have to give credit to Williams for his defence. He would have watched his effort last week and knew he needed to man upm good work.

They have only given us wraps when they confused us with Penrith. They are pretty poor.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Think you’re on your lonesome here. They clearly wanted to see Panthers do well.

Blocker was even saying he had his fingers crossed for the comeback win if heard it right?

Yeah, it was obvious on Croker's first goal kick, that thing did a proper "s" in the air.
