No idea if we have such a player but I reckon we need a better utility option than Havilli and Murchie or Young.

Havilli would stay as a middle forward but having someone who can add some spark and relieve Hodgo would be a better option than having that young forward who won't play many minutes and can't really cover the backline or spine. We can move Bateman but that hurts us too much.

And I still reckon that Segeyaro signing I suggested wasn't as crazy as was made out.

I'm hoping Rapana and Whitehead will be okay to play next week. Whitehead was having his knee looked at towards the end of the game.

I don't think we'll see Murchie next week. He didn't look like he'd brought his Mounties game with him. Guler was strong in attack and that might see him get a recall, but I saw someone write that he wasn't very good in the initial contact. I didn't notice it. I was too busy yelling at the TV for the boys to lock up the ball and stop the off-loads. Pair him with Horsburgh off the bench, I reckon.

8. Papa
9. Hodgson

Horsburgh apparently gave away some silly penalties in the Mounties game. You'd think that would stop him showing up if true.

Based on just the highlights Sezer went well.

I’d much rather see Whitehead move to center mid game than Bateman if injury strikes..

I think the loss of Bateman’s impact from the forward pack is felt much more than Whitehead.

I’d also like to see Whitehead moved back to Joey’s side and given the damn ball inside the 20 meters :rant

And EDIT Murchie - I never want him near 1st grade again after his EDIT effort at the end of the 1st half today on the Croker try

To think a young fella coming into a top 4 team for his 1st shot at 1st grade for the year and after what ? 15 minutes and his team up by 8 points he just couldn’t be **** doing his bit - **** him off.... :rant :rant :rant :rant

The thought of Billy Kikau running at Williams for 80 minutes is daunting enough to bring Sezer back in, he was dropped for one poor match and deserves another start anyhow. Oldfield in for Rapana if he isn't good to go and Young back in for Murchie.

I hope moving the game to Wagga is going to come back to bite us.

Penrith are under a load of pressure at the moment. They will throw everything into this game. I suspect they’ll want the W much more which is 50% of the W these days.

Be impressed if we bounce back and win this.

Any thought of bringing in starling to give Hodgson a break? We need that speed and explosiveness around the ruck. How’s he been going anyway at the Mounties?

Ok so we lost to Manly, it is done, what will make the Raiders great is the way they bounce back, commimg up against at Panthers team desperate for a win is perfect for the Raiders to show are they they real deal, to be among the best such as Roosters and Storms, these are the games we must win.

No offloads
Shut down Kikiua
Pressure Maloney and Cleary

This weeks Benji effect goes to.....James Maloney, this guy just kills the raiders with his eyes closed. Shutting him down is vital, some might say cleary kills us, but I think james has more control.

Panthers have been flat in every game, even in their wins. Manly had been good in their wins, I wasnt to upset with the Manly loss.....I would fume if we lose this

1. CNK
2. Cotric
3. Croker
4. Leilua
5. Oldfield, assuming Rapana is out. Give the bloke rest for his body to mend, I say. He's already come back early.
6. Wighton
7. Williams. Knee-jerk reaction would be, "We lost. We're paying Sezer more than Williams anyway, let's get some use out of him.
8. Papalii
9. Hodgson
10. Lui
11. John Bateman
12. Whitehead if he is cleared to play. Otherwise, bring in Havili.
13. Sutton

14. Havili
15. Horsburgh
16. Guler
17. Murchie. Didn't have a great game, but I can't see Ricky dropping him and risking the damage to his confidence.

18. Sezer. Will Ricky's mind game infatuation see him recalled at the last minute?)
19. Soliola. Looked gassed and kind of lost out on the field probably because of it. Give him a week's rest. We've got bigger games than this coming up.

I want to wish Ricky and the boys all the best this Saturday in Wagga Wagga which is International Star Wars Day.

Horsburgh played 70 minutes on the weekend. You'd think if they are playing him for that long that he is close to a recall even if he did give a couple of penalties a way.

Simmonson also seems to have only played 60 minutes, not sure if he picked up an injury.

Wow. Sia been one of our best off the bench in recent weeks. A bit tough dropping him based on the last game.

This is a bit of a perfect world solution. This type of player in an NRL squad that is actually up to the standard is very rare considering how the cap works. We tried it last year when replacing Hodgson (Sezer/Hingano) and it didn’t work.

I actually think Stuart handled the replacements pretty well after half time. Was a bit confused by swapping Bateman and Whitehead though. Whitehead just shifting to centre probably would have worked a bit better.

Having a bench player who could spark us up the middle from dummy half would be nice but I don’t think we have or could really find that player. One solution, which no one seems to like, is occasionally benching Hodgson for the first 20 to try and inject him for some spark mid game.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.
