Often in the same play - surely a double-diamond, double-rock play coming at some stage this season.

Unspectacular performance but it worked. Rapana's half time interview implied it was the game plan. As it got us 2 points with a shut out we need to give full credit where it's due. Sticky and the coaches came up with a plan and the players executed it.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

We actually outmuscled a much bigger pack tonight. The eels will be feeling bashed. The boys were hungry in defence.

Thank you for a great birthday present Raiders. Two competition points and fabulous defence to shut out the Eels. That is how finals type football is won. Currently on hols with the grandkids at Darlington Beach. I think I'll have an extra VB tonight. Well done to Ricky for developing that sort of defence and making the player recruitment to make it happen. I'm looking for a back up performance against the Broncos.

Don’t worry keghead, SOME of us have been on board since before Round 1, others just continue to throw unnecessary **** at them even when they’ve just completed a commanding 19-nil shutout!

Our first contact was really good. That forces a lot of errors when the eels are constantly losing every tackle.

I was never worried about them scoring points from the 20 min mark cause they weren’t making metres like they were against the other teams, we had 2 or 3 and some times even 4 blokes in each tackle and slowly peeled off one by one according to the new rules we need to keep this style up

We simply bashed that side out of the contest. Unbelievable defensive intensity.

So happy with that win.

Emphasises how **** our attitude was the past two seasons, but I'm happy that we've finally sorted some of that out.

There are 2 teams who have come out of the blocks clearly ahead of everyone else this year - and they are the only 2 teams in front of us on the ladder.
I don’t think we should be sad about losing 1 half of footy to the storm early in the season, especially considering how we usually start a campaign.
