Joey Leilua is a brain dead footballer that will cost you games and win you games. I've made peace with it. He's virtually uncoachable. But I like him on our team because as a centre his physicality means his opposite number can barely ever contain him 1 on 1. So inside the opposition 10 he's one of the most dangerous players in the game. Rapana gets a lot of tries because opposition wingers have to jam in to help the centre try contain Joey. He's an X factor player we need, and the more he works on his fitness and gets back to help out our back 3 the more I value his contributions to this team. You will never get the stupid stuff out of his game because he wouldn't be the same player. It is what it is.
I made peace with it 3 years ago. You can't rap him when he does something brilliant then turn around and bag him when he has a brain fade. Well. You can. I don't though. 'ahh typical Joey' and brush it off. I happen to adore the man. He brings far more positives than negatives to the table
Yeah that's me too, like you said, you just gotta roll with and understand that he's going to do some utterly dumb **** but what he gives you otherwise tips the scales significantly in the positive.
When he stops delivering as much positive stuff and the negative retains, he becomes SKD and you move him on. But he's not there yet.
It’s alright woodgers the boss likes the cut of your jib so you’ve got yourself a green light matey, hell you might even be invited to the bat cave for some KFC fat on toast if you keep this level of dribble up .

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
Soward power rankings: Storm now team to beat, Cowboys plummet
7. Canberra Raiders (11)
What a surprise to see the Raiders win a tight game! Well done Sam Williams for being patient and persistent. His control around the rucks was integral, he understands the game and kicks to the corners. He needs to be the halfback of this team moving forward.
Watch this wonderful moment before the match against the Newcastle Knights on Friday night as Raider #359 Hudson Young was handed his debut Raiders jersey in front of his extended family by former Raiders #266 Glen Turner and #277 Glen Buttriss.

That probably came across a bit pointed.
My point was that in this case it was a general observation made. There wasn't any intention, (I'm sure by Woodgers mate but definitely Woodgers) to be offensive, it was just stating what he noticed.
It's a grey area of the world that **** me to tears, especially a subculture that are on the hunt for things to be offended by
The issue was done and dusted before you felt the need to step in and tell everyone how offended you were that people were offended. By Woodgers own admission people had a right to be upset with what he was saying, and he clarified the point he was making, apologised for it and it was accepted by everyone. This was not a situation where people were "on the hunt for things to be offended by". They saw a problematic statement and rightfully called it out. Your contribution added absolutely nothing constructive to the issue.

The presentation to Hudson Young, the players signing stuff inside the ground, meeting fans after the game, Ricky's speech, of course the promising start to the year..... I just love how this club is looking right now!
