Not much in it

Feels like penalty sufficient, but he’s the sort of player with the kind of record that might get a week.

I don’t think so though. There wasn’t any intent there really
Who would you put at right centre of he doesn’t eat a week, Pig? I suppose it depends on Taps’ thumb?

Oldfield was an abject disaster there... I’d go Cotric and trust Simmonsen or Oldfield as a winger

Too true!
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

A win is a win I guess, a few positives are Bateman and cnk. Both have made a massive difference. The horse and young are great examples that Ricky has changed his approach after last season, and will pick in form, and I am happy with their showing so far. Big difference from 2017/18. plenty of mistakes and lots of improvement left in us, got the points. Onto next week, aim up. Line speed will win us games.

Even though we weren’t perfect, I really rate that win and I rate that start to the year.

Consider the fact we haven’t seen our more flamboyant players like tapine, cotric, ew and rapana get out of first gear yet and there is reason to believe we should get better.

We seem to have a bit more steel in our defence and be that little bit more agile.

How freaking good is Jonny B. Just a weapon and a superb signing.

We really got into him with ball in hand. He didn’t recover in the first half after Lui went at him like a heat seeker!
Actually thought Lui had a pretty decent game tonight. Most of the forwards did. Sutton was good. Bateman - what is there to say that hasn't been said? Sorry England, you ain't getting him back, we're keeping him.

Same goes for CNK. We gotta keep him. He impresses me more and more each week.

Wighton chose a terrible night to have a stinker, but one thing I've always liked about his playing is that if he's having an ordinary night with ball in hand, he redoubles his defensive effort to make up for it and he was very good there. Williams was a bit hit or miss, but his positioning was good I thought.

Croker's defensive renaissance continues. He seems very unafraid to come out of the line now and be aggressive. We also covered the gap when he did much better this week.

The refereeing was atrocious. The absolute hide of the ref to penalise Leilua for the arm. Now yes, Leilua was stupid to do it, but if the refs actually did their bloody job and stopped Newcastle from having a nap on top of us every time, it wouldn't have happened!

All in all not great, but not horrible, we got the two points and more importantly did not lose our heads only being six ahead in the last ten. So, a big step forward. Let's see if we can keep it up.
And to all the people who doubted me, hello to them as well. - Mark Webber, Raiders Ballboy and Unluckiest F1 Driver Ever

I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)

Sammy Williams got on the protein in the off season, I’m sure I saw him stop Klemmer on his own. At this stage I couldn’t care less if Williams or Sezer is halfback, whoever does the job plays for mine.

I would be very happy to see Sam Williams next week instead of Sezer. Make Sezer earn his way back in the Mounties. He certainly didn’t show anything in the last two weeks.

John Bateman is a rock star! And CNK is such a better positional player than Wighton. Hopefully Wighton practices kicking this week! Or just let’s Sammy and Hodgo kick instead!

You need a few of those games to get into the finals. We had a lot go against us despite being largely the dominate team. As others have said CNK and Bateman have been fantastic.

Wighton is still a work in progress... not convinced he's a 6. Thought Sammy was solid tonight.

Once Cotric, Papa, Rapana and Whitehead regain some form we'll be looking really good.
