Sam Williams isn't the solution but he sure as hell is better than Sezer, who's an overpaid plodder that doesn't belong anywhere near first grade.

Sam Williams performance in the trials and that game should see him allowed to go again next week.

Yep he’s earned the spot for a couple of games anyway, if Sezer wants it he should earn it through reserve grade.

John Bateman is a dead set gun. So happy we have him in Green. We made enough errors to lose that game but our effort has been outstanding.

Him and Whitehead as well. Neither of them are playing to the standard to which they're capable.

Sammy, on the other hand, has finally become the steady hand on the wheel we've needed at half. His kicking game has ramped up 100%. He's also bulked up in the off season and isn't the defencive liability he used to be when bigger players run at him. I think it was Klemmer that he knocked some km per hour off in a front-on tackle in the second half. Didn't stick, but gave the other forwards time to finish him off.

Sezar might need to dig up Dean Pay's phone number soon seeing as George Williams looks pretty close to being signed. Ricky would be mad to send Sammy back to Mounties.

Only because of Wighton. If Wighton plays as well tonight as he has the last two weeks we probably win that game by 30 points.

One thing I thought we did exceptionally well was beat up on Ponga. He got absolutely belted all night.

Good effort that. A lot to improve on. Cotric is down on form and I reckon there will be a lot of runners eyeing the hole between Croker and Wighton. Lot of bad mistakes and silly decisions tonight but enough to see there is real talent in this team if it clicks. Still think I’d be looking hard at Havili’s bench spot when Tapani is available.

Yep bounced back from errors with resilience, didn't let the heads go down, and defended our line to win. The best type of win we could hope for I think

In regards to the cap, Williams does a job and pretty good Imo compared to his pay packet.

I stated last week he is our best half and proved it tonight.

After 3 rounds we might already have a fair indication of where we sit in the scheme of things. Comfortable win over a battling team (Titans) then struggled against a top side ( Storm) and now a solid yet unspectacular win over a team thats in the 6th-10th range.

Based on that we're in the mix for a top 8 spot this year.

I'm officially excited... All the new additions played really well and have tones of potential. I severely underestimated CNK the kid has been seriously impressive! So much potential for Jack at 5/8 his defense as well as the whole team was in your face all night. John Bateman is pretty much the best player on the team already imo.. Sutton also proved his worth

Sutton finds his front a lot doesn't he? good quick play the balls
I liked Wightons energy but his decision making needs some tweaking but thats probably understandable as its been a long time sine he lined up in the defensve line, i still think there's a lot to work with there.
Bateman just immense, he'd be rep quality whatever country he played for.
Hudson Younng didnt look out of place.
Horsburgh better tonight, i reckon he made 15 post contact metres off the kickoff in the second half!
Williams is just a natural halfback/footballer, makes others around him better, defended well tonight too.

I prefer Sammy Williams at 7. Just seems to allow Hodgo and JW to play their natural game and not get smothered by another half.
