37th min Hodgson kicks in the red zone... but it ends in a Storm penalty, off side Raiders tackler.

There’s just, ****, we’re still such a dumb football side.

Very confident stick will sort this out at halftime though
14-0 isn’t game over by any stretch

I'm still not giving up on this one. Storm started fast last week and faded Imo.
Even more reason they won’t fade then. Bellamy would have smashed that into them over the week so they won’t do it again

38th min Horsburgh penalised for tackle around the neck. The set ends with Croft penalised for obstruction in possession.

I’m with you, LP Smash. Just need to get our head back in the game and start the second half well. Need to score first

Well good resilience at least and bench added some starch. 14-0 actually not bad given how dominant they've been

Are we going to go the reverse fortress again this year? Lose all our home games win the away?

Spot on, my brother. Keep the faith in our coaching staff and their ability to get the boys up for the second half

It’s SO important that we start well and score first

Melbourne have completely neutralised Leilua/Rapana/Cotric out of dummy half. It's a bit disconcerting how legless we look when that happens

If this is normal for Horsburgh then we can’t have him and Tapine in the same side.

Well it hasn't been great so far for us, geez Melbourne look good.

So sick of them being so dominant year after year. Smith is the only big gun left, surely their time at the top has to come to an end soon...

I have to give Ricky some credit (sigh), last years team would have been 28 - 0. We are hanging in there more and scrambling which was non existent last year

Out-wrestled, losing the ruck, out-coached, out-enthused. Hope the next 40 is better. 5 forward hitups and a kick down the fullback's throat isn't going to win this week.

The ruck is where this game is being won and lost.

It's the way they are coached - line speed, fast play-the-balls, aggression, commitment. All things missing from the Canberra Raiders - celebrating 30 years since our last premiership...oh and 25 year since the last one.

Man that was a punish. Dominated in the ruck and well and truly exposed by Smith and Co.

What is going on with Tapine, super quiet last week and hooked this week. Thought this would be a huge season for him but well and truly not off to a good start.

I'm not going to slit my wrists over tanking against Melbourne in the second round, with reworked spine. I am worried about our left edge defense though, they were some simple tries.
