Great to see the pod back!
Re: 2019 The Green Machine Podcast
Good to hear the first show! Can't say I was a fan of interviewing a Titans fan... but maybe that floats the boat for others! Personally, I'm listening for Canberra Raiders content.
Re: 2019 The Green Machine Podcast
I really enjoyed the inclusion of an opposition fan. Its interesting hearing about the matchup form the other teams perspective. Please continue to do this.

Loved the dig at the Panthers to start
I'm not a fan of Peachy either. Way overhyped. Was a wasted spot in origin.

Really enjoyed the podcast (first time listener).
Enjoyed hearing the perspective of a Titans fan but thought it was a little bit long. 5-7 minutes is probably ideal length IMO.
Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback guys and greeneyed you broke my heart. I thought you were saying the whole thing was boring. I do agree even i wasn't a massive fan of the first interview but i think it was purely the length that was the issue. Really liked the one we did this week. but happy to keep hearing feedback to hear if it has any longevity.

That first episode did go for a very long time Soulsy! I was one who was saying 30 minutes was too short, but an hour and a half is too long! Easiest thing to drop is talking to opposition fans. I don't care the hell what they think!

Just started listening to the latest. Can’t agree the score flattered the storm. I think the opposite, Storm has that game under control the whole time and put it into second gear in the second half.

2019 The Green Machine Podcast
Mike 2 on the money early on, will post full thoughts later
Ok so here goes...
Mike 2 is right to be dismissive about the concept of “the team just need to gel/grow” and here’s why:
* As highlighted it’s not the new guys who bollocksed it up on the weekend.
* The off-season and Trial matches are for gelling. Not matches worth competition points. The teams that win premierships don’t spend the early season dicking around hoping they’ll come good later. They start fast, take a breather through the season middle when their ladder position is consolidated, then accelerate home.
* 3/4 of our spine are the same as last year, and the new guy did a pretty good job.
* the mistakes being made were largely not execution errors, they were strategic errors. This is not something the team grows into fixing, this has been a long term issue with Stuart’s coaching tactics.
* the team has historically not shown that it can learn and grow from these losses
The first round was excellent, and I want Stuart to be successful. I also acknowledge Storm on a 5 day turnaround with them having 8 is a ducking tough ask.
But... it was concerning to see that the team went in with a strategy that was not capable of beating the storm imo, and did not adjust to the game circumstances. I would have preferred to see them drop the ball trying to spread it early, than make 2m running from dummy half 3 times in a row.
If this team wants to be a contender they need better plans.
Hoping to see a return to better play this week against the knights.

Re: 2019 The Green Machine Podcast
Good episode guys.
Disagree about the broncs. The legends have been tearing strips for weeks and nothing has come of it. With Lodge and TPJ also out we should definitely be winning this. If we don't win it's because of our own form rather than theirs.
