No Guler is my biggest surprise. Lui on the bench instead. Otherwise pretty much as expected, with the Oldfield injury reports proving to be correct.

Yeah Guler is the only big surprise, strange he could've fallen that far out of favour to not even be on the list.

The rest of it is as expected and looks about as good as it can be. No Oldfield is a big blow but let's hope BS is not BS.

Hahaha wow!
No he hasn’t. Simpsson looked out of his depth in the trials. He is a Rugby 7s player, would of been better playing in Mounties first.
But Mr Stubborn, sorry Mr Stuart, didn’t want to divert from his plan of playing Jack at 6 when Jack should be at 1 and Charnze at 5 at least until Oldfield or Rapana are back.
No Guler?
Our 2 best in the trials were Hunt and Williams and they aren’t there.

But yeah bring on the power and pace!

Guler didn't do a lot in the trials, Horse ripped it up, Lui was our most reliable prop last season so at least there is some reason to it. We are a young team as it is, so adding another almost rookie in Guler would have left our bench very light on NRL experience. I can live with Guler having to force his way back in though performance.

Sutton has yet to show us much at all. Here is his chance.

Worry to see Oldfield listed as "indefinite" just when we are threadbare in the outside backs.

I meant more that he wasn't expected to play, rather than his position. They have a big side. If we have a decent game plan of shifting their boppas around we are a chance. I'm expecting it to be hot up there? Over to you Ricky.

No. You don't chuck out your whole pre-season practice and season planning and rejig your spine because a winger gets injured. You just don't.

Williams was good in the trials but played the B teams. He'll be pressuring Sezer but the stated plan all along has been to improve the defence. We score points for fun.

I thought Horsburgh was our best in the trials and he got a spot. Hunt was ok but Sutton was probably always going to play- need to look at him at least. Out track record with England forwards is good so I can live with this- if he's no good after a few games, then someone else gets a look.

You don't change your spine to temporarily fix a wing spot.
