He has to learn to keep up. It's the clique and the dead in this place.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I think Mariner needs his own weekly segment... would synergise nicely with matchups, haikus and the depression index

I must of been watching a different game GE, I didn’t think Junior was that impressive. I wasn’t sitting there thinking we would miss him this year.
Just quietly Ricky isn’t losing sleep overs Junior going from what I’ve heard.
Let’s hope for Juniors sake he doesn’t mix back in with the wrong crew but I reckon it’s likely.

Didn't notice him do a lot either. Only a trial, but he did look fitter and I'm sure he can still rouse himself for a big game. But I'd rather have Papa or Tapine as our big $$$ prop given our back row stocks are flush.

I'm a bit surprised, fellas, because I thought Junior was impressive. He got metres every run, it always took a gang of defenders to stop him, and he seemed to get an offload away every second hit-up. He looked like the only first-grader out there.

But I agree Ricky wouldn't be losing sleep over him and I'd still take Papa or Tarps ahead of him every day of the week too.

Yep, he would've made 150 meters and was the best forward with the ball when they utterly dominated us.

Very true. We know Junior can rattle up the metres when he's running hard. I think any half decent NRL prop could have done similar in the circumference. It will be a very different situation trying to steamroll up the middle against guys like Paps, Sia, Bateman Tarps etc.

Back on topic. I'm not a fan of the move of Jack to 6. I think it's been there done that. I thought his form at 1 last year was good.
One other positive Sticky has done in the off season - Put Hodgo to Co-Captain.

Why an i labelled an unbeliever? To make yourself look like you're a better supporter?

For years I've backed this team and supported them. Yet only Last year you were bemoaning everything and not even watching games.

Yes, I try not get my hopes up, but secretly live in hope anway.

I may not be participating in your rick name thing, I am not Mr Happy Positive Fun Guy, but I'll be damned if some anonymous shmuck like yourself wants to act morally superior, and pretend he's a better supporter than anyone else.

I don't have to justify myself to you or anyone else.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I'm not anonymous, there's nothing remotely anonymous about me haha. My picture is in my damned avatar, basically everybody knows how to find me on Facebook!

And for the first four rounds, all I had was you continually calling me out in Game Day threads and the like for anything positive I said about the team, so I'm DAMNED WELL going to rub it back in your face now that I've proven to be right, pal.

You can't continually call someone out on an open forum and then cry into your soup when they throw it back at you, mate. That's not how the internet works, ask your good mate Israel Folau.
