Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
I personally don’t think there’s much doubt the Raiders have been chasing Edwards. Whether it comes off is another thing.

We surely are. Nobody comes out and feels they have to publicly deny something that isn't actually happening.
Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
I’m not sure about that. There are also many cases where there are incorrect reports and the clubs, when asked, correct them.

Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
Craig just tweeted saying it might not happen. Edwards / manager are sticking their feet in the ground for more dollars.

There's a shock.
Donny must be keeping that secret half a million war chest dry for someone else.

Fair enough... I’d want “danger money” to play under Sticky in a spine position... could be dangerous for my careerLimeGreenMachine wrote: ↑January 24, 2019, 1:09 pm Craig just tweeted saying it might not happen. Edwards / manager are sticking their feet in the ground for more dollars.

Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
If we're at the point about haggling for money, even if there is an impasse on that front, it feels to me like that's a positive thing
Like at some point you're offering X and need the guy, he wants Y and needs out to play fullback... some common ground is found usually in that.
Dont say im not a poso.

RIP Pigman
We hardly knew him. Mercifully so.

I agree with Pig, if it's about money than we are close to a back end deal away from securing him.
Not sure of the source but it would be more credible than Gus or the Raiders board.

Didn't the nrl put an end to back end deals
Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
Front end only and it's only proposed at this stage.

Don’t worry. If you’re a Poso you are only the pointy end of a AAA battery that came free with a $2 plastic toy.Pigman wrote:RIP Pigman

Thought it was back end deals , that is what got Manly and the Dogs in so much troubleRaiders666 wrote: ↑January 25, 2019, 8:38 pmYeah cool...I wasn't sure just remember reading about it a while ago

Apparently Edwards wants release to join Knights.

To play where? I can't imagine they are keen to move Ponga again.

Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
Not even the best Penrith fullback with the name Edwards, that'd be Morvin.
Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
7 weeks ago we'd have been champing at the bit for this guy. Now I'm quite happy to see how The Klock develops over a whole season- really interested to see his ball playing abilities and how his support play goes. Both showing signs...
Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
yeah that's a very strange move... im very high on Edwards and i think probably long term, we might be better off with him over Klok because im super concerned about Klok developing the ball playing which is such a vital role... but even as someone high on Edwards, he's not worth us going after now given Klok's level of play.
If CNK can develop his ball playing, we're on to a real winner, if not, we can find another Edwards down the line i think.

Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
So the Klok has a total of 14 NRL games under his belt. Ive seen a bit of smart passing from him so far. Why are you so concerned? shouldn't he be allowed atleast half a season to show a bit more in that regard?PigRickman wrote: ↑April 29, 2019, 8:48 pmyeah that's a very strange move... im very high on Edwards and i think probably long term, we might be better off with him over Klok because im super concerned about Klok developing the ball playing which is such a vital role... but even as someone high on Edwards, he's not worth us going after now given Klok's level of play.

Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
look, he's THE guy right now, 10000% approval rating from all Raiders fans, and rightly so. Even me.
I love Edwards talent and even i think we should just kick with CNK given what he's done. I love him, LOVE him.
I want to give him all the chance in the world to develop that part of his game, right now he's an excellent defensive and positional fullback, and a pretty strong ball runner but fullbacks as limited as he is as a ball players... very few of them develop that skill. I am more than happy to give him time to buck that trend, this year and next, and ****, maybe if George Williams comes on and is a superstar, for another 10 years...
but we're not creative in base shape and structure and the easiest way to manufacture it (and we did it the last 2 years with Wighton back there) is with a fullback who can ball play a bit

Re: Raiders, Panthers deny Dylan Edwards switch
The Raiders got hit by a rainbow, Gus not allowing Edwards to leave, and CNK arriving.
Gus is now out... Edwards is in NSW Cup... and... the Raiders have come out on the plus side.

Edwards looks well placed in NSW Cup, following a horrendous start to the season.
All the way with CNK....
