He cant do it.
He needs a decent player to feed him, the Dogs dont have that.
It will ruin his career.
This is what I was thunking as well..

It's no use having a Lamborghini in the side when he's surrounded by Dato 180b's.
Fond memories of my 180B SSS
Tell me Johno,

What luxury mod cons did the 180B SSS have ?

Where I grew up all Dato 120Ys and 180Bs came with fluffy dice on the rear view mirror..
I imagine SSS stands for Super Sporadic Suspension.
Any SSS had excellent suspension, including an IRS rear which was modern for the era it’s why the 1600’s and 180b’s where often used for rally. Commodores did not get IRS till the 90’s...These Datos where mid to late 70’s Image

Once built up a 200b SSS coupe, put an FJ20 Turbo in it, thing was ludicrously quick... v8 killing quick (20 years ago) and with the IRS rear was awesome on corners. Running 240z breaks it stoped on a dime...although it loved chewing through CV joints at least once a month and there electrics where friggin terrible... always chasing a wiring short or similar.

Wish I never sold it, old Dato coupes are rare as rocking horse **** now.

Because they never go down. Ever. The ONLY thing that is ratings proof right now is live sports, and advertisers know it.
Binge watching has diminished the TV ratings across drama shows etc... but you cant binge watch live sports. You just cant.
except for the A league, that's a tv deal going down

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

It's so dire not even the South Africans are turning up to watch and they are scrapping teams I thought.

Interesting player. Has that classic Campo 5/8th build you don't see much anymore. He'd be a good pickup if he was happy to come cheap and fight for a spot.

Not sure about that. They've had a slight increase of viewers in Aust. I imagine NZ tv rights would be worth a bit too. Japan and Argentina also have teams.

In Australia it just lags well behind NRL and AFL.

A League averages more viewers in Oz (just) than Super Rugby now.
NZ figures are always strong but attendances and viewers in SA are in decline too.

Super Rugby is completely lost right now adding teams then cutting them 2 years later- is it expanding? Is it consolidating? It's losing everywhere but NZ and (ironically the team they just cut, which is also by far the largest economy) Japan. South Africans are sick of seeing all their best players leave for European teams so would almost rather watch Euro rugby or try to get their own teams going in that more lucrative market to at least keep/see their own guys. It's certainly not really much difference in distance wise for them.

Super Rugby are hanging on the results of this World Rugby Season international thing to provide some clarity on what on earth to do next.

Japan being cut.
Western Force already dead.
Aus rugby has little cash in the bank, reduced by the Folau incident and reducing further, crowds are actually getting smaller, ratings are terrible, Rebels on a knifes edge brumbies crowds are disgusting.... no idea how a dead Japanese team and Argentine team makes a difference

Interesting is a good shout. He's been around the houses and never shown much above a glimpse of promise.

All of a sudden at London, charged with leading the team, he has stepped up dramatically.

Hard to tell at this stage if it is a purple patch or a genuine step change, but if it's the latter we've got a good 'un on our hands.

Not that anybody here really cares but if that's the case, they should be letting the SA teams go and forming a new comp of Aus/NZ teams with Argentina and a view to reintroducing the Japan team. Most of the games would fall in a similar time zone so it would be better for TV viewing. I would think they would be able to draw more value out of broadcasters for the rights of they did this. They also need to work out a deal where at least some of the games involving two Australian teams are on free to air.

At the end of the day though I couldn't care less if it continues to wither away in to non-existence. The Rugby Union folk really seem to have no clue...

No, as I said, it's mainly $$$$ and a dwindling interest in the Super Comp because so many of their players are already being lured to Europe and away from Super and Springbok Rugby.

I think it’s a little of Column A and a little of Column B.
I think Super Rugby is going through a similar period the NBL went through a few years back. Expansion and competition changes during a drop in interest, moving into Asia etc. It will be interesting to see if/how the code dies, and what would NZRL do.

Rereleased after they changed their mind. He was actually well into his drive to Melbourne when they cancelled his release, and he turned around and went back. A day or so later they changed their mind. Great management....

would love the Trbojevic package to come to Raiders, though for that to happen you'd think it'd cost Papalii breaking contract early to pursue his boxing career, CNK, and the breaking up of Leipana

other teams would be better positioned to take them.

Half back merry-go-round going on over here at the moment.

Expecting Aiden Sezer at Leeds in the next couple of days - to partner up with Robert Lui who has swapped with Lolohea.

Leaves Richie Myler spare. He might go to Salford (first club), which would free up Jackson Hastings to go to Wigan.

Which, of course, in turn frees up a certain someone...
