Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

So in recent years Sharks, Tigers, Manly and Eels (to name a few) have all been busted for salary cap issues, but somehow Roosters and Broncos are perfectly fine? Despite the signings they have made?

That's just not believable.

Yeah, they never breached though. They were just going to be over.

Tigers now had their penalty reduced to below the breach and split over 2 years. It's basically a soft cap now.

Laughable, good job they didnt cheat in any way in the premiership year..uncanny that eh?

Why not reduce the cap by $12,000 over the next 50 years, make it really tough

I guess that's sorta like a self imposed fine

May be a player we would have liked to sign in the off-season but May just pass on him after this comes out.

Sounds like ol’ sidemouth May have put him off. Would it be a stretch to offer Allan fullback here? I suppose sticky and co wouldn’t entertain it as cnk was certainly lured using the same carrot.

Krisnan Inu is looking for a new club. Would he have been worth splashing the Rapana money on?

No. He was barely good enough for the second tier over here.

I realize AJ Brimson signed a new deal last yr, but the kid looks to be struggling to make the Titans 17 this yr, after being their brightest spark. Why arent we offering him a #1 jersey to break his deal?

Cause we have no money and we aren't that pro-active.

I’ll still support him but I’m not liking where this club is heading.
The last 2 years have been such a waste since all the good work from 2016 is undone.
We are virtually trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result. We are weakening our Fullback position to put him at Five Eight.
The fact everyone is tipping us in the bottom 4 actually gives me some hope but everyone bar Parra, Warriors and Canterbury have either strengthen their squad or their coach so I can’t see how we will make the 8.

Okay... Let's actually look at recruitment, strengthening of squads, you've picked three sides. How have Manly, Cowboys, Storm, Tigers, Broncos to name just a few, strengthened their squads. Thurston and Slater have retired and no real recruits to replace them. Manly haven't recruited anybody, nor have the Broncos or Tigers. Why have you only picked Parra, Warriors and Doggies? I think there are quite a few sides who haven't really strengthened their sides. I think the comp is quite open this year with everything going on. Are we capable of taking advantage of it? I have my doubts but it's not down to our squad and how it compares with other teams.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Panthers. The off field distractions could either focus them or put the team into factions. Tough job for Ivan Cleary first up.

Agreed, there is absolutely nothing wrong with our squad, they should be playing finals football this year, like the last two years before them

I am entirely confident of our squad and coach’s ability to go deep into the finals this year

Don’t listen to naysayers like Brew and their excuses

I said squad OR coaches.
So that rules out Manly, Tigers and Brisbane.
Storm don’t need to change anything as they have constant success.
Cowboys bought well except Barba didn’t work out.
