I spoke to Sia before Christmas and he truly seemed optimistic.

And I heard from one of the staff recently that both Papa and BJ are in excellent condition. I reckon that’s a really great sign.

If Big Papa ( :( SIGN BIG PAPI, YOU COWARDS) and Beej are not spending the off season smashing KFC and are coming in relatively good shape, that is indeed a good sign

The Samoan fat camp was worse for our side than Hodgson’s (our best player) ACL last off season IMO

Was back in Canberra over the holidays and saw Beejay at CISAAC gym doing some extra sessions. This was the week after xmas/NYE and he looked pretty trim even then, plus was clearly doing a few extras to stay on top of things. Motivation/attitude in action I'd say.

Ata Hingano was there too another day, looking like he's put on a serious amount of muscle.

Hodgo and Wighton were doing a session on NYE

I've seen Sezer and Cotric a few times as well

I really hope we are looking at the panthers players for a fullback , talk all about edwards but aikens stats look awesome from his debut nrl game and his nsw cup year, maybe gould will let him go being 3rd string fullback for them but would be 1st one for us, his main strength is makes a lot of metres and tackle breaks and post contact metres, him at the back and whigton to 6 would look a lot stronger, hey stat matt what do you think?? Ayone else like this guy more than edwards??

Panther really are the team we need to be talking to. They have about 8 players in their squad that would be an upgrade on Williams.

Halves: Cleary, Maloney, May, Liu, Coleman
Fullbacks: DWZ, Edwards, Aekins

Now obviously some are no chance of leaving the Panthers but a guaranteed start in First Grade could surely tempt one of them.

I seriously don't understand how Penrith seem to resign every one of their juniors with very few leaving. Surely, an up and coming junior rep player would jump at a chance to play first grade NRL. What does Gus say to these blokes to resign with little chance of moving up?!?

Unfortunately I believe we have some bizzare non poaching pact with Gus, so we need him to offer a player up.

Panthers have no issue letting players go. They will deny it all then the players is released.

They said the same thing with Coote and then Moylan . Both juniors.

Gus spent many years at the Roosters so knows how to manage a sombrero.

Panthers have the most depth in the NRL, along with the Broncos.

Not more, but Id be happy enough to take a punt on him. At worst he is an upgrade on Abbey

I am hearing from Penrith contacts that the negotiations for Edwards to the Raiders are back on. Money was the sticking point a few weeks back but the deal is being explored again and many at Penrith think Edwards is leaving.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I’d love to see Edwards at FB for Raiders.

What does everyone think of Cotric to centre and Crocker to wing if Edwards arrives? Played an amazing half game there last year!

Raiders player signing speculation 2019

Post by Organised Chaos »

I’ll just leave this here, make of it what you will.

Penrith flyer Dylan Edwards spent the summer training at fullback

Penrith flyer Dylan Edwards has spent the summer training at fullback as he aims to fend off teammate Dallin Watene-Zelezniak for the No.1 jumper.

Edwards declared he is fit following shoulder surgery and ready to make the No.1 position his own despite Watene-Zelezniak also declaring he wants to play at the back.

Sounds like he has been training in multiple positions and has to beat DWS for the spot. So nothing new really.
