That Bulldogs game was a great match. Shame about the result.

Amazing game. Never realised Ricky hit the crossbar trying to get a field goal in extra time.

Both those send offs should have been "reports". Lomax shouldn't have been suspended, either... send off should have been sufficient in the circumstances. But then we wouldn't have had the impact of Paul Osborne.

Not watching but that Bulldogs / Raiders major semi final was one of the all time classics. What made me confident was that in the regular season match in CBR we thrashed them, then the Bulldogs had to play out of their skin and rely on the Raiders having an off day and still they only beat us by a point. I always felt if we found our mojo for the GF - which we did - then there'd be nothing to worry about.

Just watching a replay of Raiders V Bears from 1995 at North Sydney Oval. Bears leading 18-2 at half time. I think I'm going to enjoy the second half!

There were some classic prelim finals between the Raiders/Bears in that 90s period.

North Sydney had a very decent side..unfortunately for them.. we were better !!'

It was a clear square up shot, he didnt get him as cleanly as he wanted but the intent was DEFINITELY there haha

Still remember me and a mate waited for the Raiders team for 3 hours outside the Members after that Bears prelim only for Ricky’s wife to spot us (as we were the only people left) and bring us back into the Stadium and down the tunnel to meet all the players who were sitting on the field waiting for a bus from another entrance.
Except Mullins, he was at the Bar still lol

Having been alive during that time but not an active follower of the sport some of those games were very entertaining. In many ways the superior athletic ability, full time coaching and bigger bodies makes the players so much better but in those old games there is a lot less structure making the game far less predictable.

Just watched the Raiders 39-4 win over the Knights from 1995. The attack of that team, even without Meninga, was absolutely amazing.

Just watching the Raiders V Broncos finals game from 1990... I don't understand why Fox League repeatedly insists on giving us the Brisbane commentary team for matches like this. Not only are they really biased, they are bad as well. It's incredibly annoying for games that are supposed to be targeted at Raiders fans.

That was a great match. The only shame was the Broncos scored a try at the death. Raiders 30-4 at full time. Wally Lewis last match for the Broncos in the No. 36 jersey.
