Douehi is rubbish and coming off an acl
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.
Re: Liam Knight staying with Raiders in 2019
Hmm. The raiders apparently emailed the bunnies about him being released there. We denied it about the same time that dufty was assured of a full back spot at the dragons following them pulling out of the Hayne wreck. Now that they've signed Norman I wonder if the dufty move is back on again
Re: Liam Knight staying with Raiders in 2019
The club actually just announced he was staying less than two weeks ago.

That report was actually by Danny Weidler in the SMH. Love him or hate him, Weidler has the contacts to get an inside view.
Some people talk about the weather. Others do something about it.

Consistent with the Weidler story and cat's report...
Hearing that Liam Knight has signed a two year deal with the South Sydney Rabbitohs... starts training tomorrow.

Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
nothing official yet on any page so no wonder canberra have not announced it, we are stocked up in that area so no shock really, liam will get more fg games time at souths were they are thin in that area.

Jeez what are we doing with our roster? I would have thought we’d hang on to Liam. Not a world beater but had lots of potential in a position where we’ve lost a couple of long termers.

With Knight leaving how many spots are left to fill?
Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
I think it's 2 by kick off + 1 by June 30. Also potentially Rapanas replacement and 3 development players.Green eyed Mick wrote: ↑December 16, 2018, 5:11 pm With Knight leaving how many spots are left to fill?
Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
Aren't they down to 26?
Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
Ah, I was looking at this list released by the club of the top 30: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=33085
Not sure where the difference is.

He wanted to go back to Sydney. Plus other stuff.
Hope we sign a decent player or two soon.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
Dusty , he played 10 games at an average of 30 minutes a game. He played at two prior clubs before us, only playing 1 NRL game between them.
We gave him a bigger go than anyone else ever had.
He's 23, upto club number 4. What does that tell you

Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
Personally, I thought Knight has a lot of promise. He produced some massive games at Mounties, and given the non performance of some big name props, he and other up and coming forwards should have been given more opportunity. I'm sorry to lose him.

It tells me that given the right shot he’d do well. Unfortunately he didn’t get it with us.dubby wrote:Dusty , he played 10 games at an average of 30 minutes a game. He played at two prior clubs before us, only playing 1 NRL game between them.

There’s 8 players that can play prop so no big loss.
Bring in a half or back to cover Rapana with the money saved I say !!

Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
If it's any consolation I'd say if he showed any real ability he would've taken the first offer to go back anyway. He looks as Sydney as it gets.

Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
Did you even read my post? Ten games played, average about 30 minutes a game.
He played none at the Roosters.
One at Manly.
How is that not the right shot?
How are they limited opportunities?
And wasn't he injured at some point?
I'm not saying he's not worth a shot, he looks solid. But we've picked up JJ Collins who is a comparable player.
I just don't see the reason for the extreme melancholy surrounding the loss of a fringe player.

I read it, his best game for the Raiders he was left out the week after. I didn’t think he averaged anywhere near that a game. I clearly remember him getting 5-10 max a game which isn’t a shot imo.dubby wrote:Did you even read my post? Ten games played, average about 30 minutes a game.

Canberra Raiders prop Liam Knight signs with South Sydney Rabbitohs
The Canberra Raiders have released prop Liam Knight just two weeks after the club said he was staying put. Knight has signed with the South Sydney Rabbitohs and will join their preseason on Monday.

Re: Liam Knight off to the Rabbitohs
Ok, so NSW Cup is comparable? You never provided any stats to back that up by the way, considering you were fairly adamant he played 5 (10 minutes max) a game NRL a few short moments ago.
I get it. You're disappointed to see him go. For me, he's another Mataora. Life goes on.
