Reporter: Don would you like SJ at the Raiders
DFJ: sure, why not

Reporter: Jarrod, have you heard any more about signing SJ

I love that.

"We haven't expressed interest in Shaun Johnson". Well, of course we haven't, we've got Sam Williams.

Let's be fair to Don though. In the next few days he's finally going to have the first draft of a contract ready for the Cooper Cronk sweepstakes.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart confirms interest in Shaun Johnson

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has confirmed the club’s interest in out-of-favour Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson – but concedes the queue for his signature is a long one.

"I know that’s been bandied around (Canberra’s interest in Johnson) but there are a number of great players that are all coming off contract (in 2019) that coaches would like to coach," Stuart said. "I think if you ask most coaches in the competition and they'd all be pretty chuffed to coach a guy of that ability. Shaun Johnson’s the sort of player that would be one of those. He’s had a great career and is a very talented kid."

I think Johnson is a match winner but he ain’t a premiership winning half. Too inconsistent.

Based on this I think we can get him.

Craig Norenbergs: They would really love you at the Canberra Raiders, Shaun Johnson

Mr Shaun Johnson
C/O NZ Warriors
Mt Smart Stadium
Auckland

Dear Shaun

My name is Craig and I am a rugby league fan. I am also, importantly, a die-hard supporter of the Canberra Raiders.

I think you'd love playing for the Raiders. Having lived in New Zealand for four years, I can see similarities between Auckland and Canberra. You could become the face of Canberra, easily.

And you'd be loved, really loved. If you're not feeling that love at the Warriors, it's time for a change. You know it, I know it and Raiders fans everywhere know it...

‘I’ll always love the club’: Shaun Johnson in the dark over Warriors future

Shaun Johnson has arrived home in the dark about his future at the Warriors and is prepared to be open-minded about where he plays next. Johnson confirmed nobody at the Warriors had been in touch but planned to get his head around the situation quickly.

A meeting with manager Peter Brown was a priority as well as “speaking to anyone who’s keen to have a chat, really”.

Doesn't remind me of Austin in the slightest. SJ is far more than a dummy and right foot step. Kicking and passing game is streets ahead.

Consistency was not an issue for Austin. I'd argue he's been very consistent the past couple of seasons.....unfortunately.

Oh yeah beacause one 1 million dollar player guarantees success or a spot in the finals doesn't it. It's not a team sport or anything is it??
